  1. This topic is a bit hard to reply to considering that everything around you effects you in some way therfor influences you.

I am a book worm so i've always felt that Authors are more of an influence for me rather then musically, like most of you.Books that have a permenant spot in the library: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-time, Lady Oracle, See Jane Run, Dead Zone, LOTR, Various Anne Rice, Various Terry Broos, Various R.A. Salvatore and who can forget Judy Blume? etc etc etc..:)

I can honestly say I waste too many hours online as well. I mean where else can I sit on my ass, dl great music, talk to all my pals, and have access to virtually any informatin I may need? This place is great. Although it does distract me to often from household chores and other hobbies. Damn You Internet!!!

Another influence I can't forget to mention would be djed. Without him my world wouldn't be as bright. He makes me smile so wide, laugh straight out my belly, and loves me like no other can. Thanks bud.

This post is already pretty long, so i'll end it here. I could probably go one for hours about positive as well as negative influences...

  2. I believe that when tye dyeing there is a special solution you can buy that will fasten the colour. You soak the shirt in it after you dyed the shirt, not when you wash it. You can find some really good sites for instructions. I was planning on doing some of my own last summer but never got around to it..

  3. I thought I had lost my sandel at the fest but ended up finding it in the back seat of my friends car...

I wonder how many people lost random things and then came home to think HOW COULD I HAVE LOST THAT? :)

  4. I really wish that when I was asking you about her Sunshine you had told me you were planning on finding a home for her. I saw her running around Friday night and when one of the STUPID locals that were camped beside us kicked her or whichever(didin't see, in my tent)and i heard her crying I rushed out brought her back to my site which was at least dog friendly. She was a very sweet little pooch and I kept my eye out for her all weekend. I would be extremly interested in making a home for her. I live in Burlington, ON. I don't have a backyard but I walk every night on my own already so the company would be great. If you have any doubts about my love for dogs I bet any one with a dog at CTMF remebers a little red headed girl petting the crap out of any dogs i saw there...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider me..

    Dogs I met:

    Bagera: The weirmener

    Blue: the shepard cross

    Coltrane: The lab cross

    Our little friend the Jack

I also saw a lab and a white foxy looking dog but didn't have a chance to pet them:)

  5. I'm very new to this board and I really hope people don't think negativly of me for getting involved in this BUT.....

    J_ROC and Scissor Man:

I started this thread hoping to find out more information about Wassabi. People probably read the thread wanting to see what was said about the band..um, not listen to negative banter between the two of you. I think you should have created a private topic to bicker between yourselves, instead of voicing your opinions on this thread. I personally was not at the show, nor care to hear about drama that was created at the show. Please keep furher disscusions of this nature private. Thank you.

  6. What's wrong with Pepper Jacks?

I've been there for two shows myself. I liked that the club was smaller. It makes everything more intimate. I also thought that the sound there was really decent. I like Pepper Jacks...

  7. Erich and I were talking about how since i've met him i've grown more fond of more instrumental music. When I told him about the Collective Wassabi I told him the jams I had listened to on the website just made me went to get up and Boogie. I would love to see them. How often does the band tour Ontario?

  8. I'd never really heard of these cats before I joined this forum. I found there website and listened to the two songs up there Ole Jam and Roller. I've really really caught the Wassabi bug. I think i've played those 2 songs 15 times between them. I'm dl April 2 2005/Pepper Jack Cafe from The Archive right now and noticed it was taped by Esau13. Is this one of the Esau's on The Sanctuary? If so do you have any suggestions as to where I can look for other shows as there is only two on The Archive. I'm pretty new to show collecting. Thanks for any help and advice you guys can give me.

  9. I've got the baby bug as well..

I have two sisters that concieved right around the same time (new years, go figure)and both are due in September. I've been making plans to quilt "family tree" baby blankets for the new little guys/or girls. I can't wait to be an aunt..

  10. I actually don't have that show yet. With just having moved my dl has been a bit scarce as of late. I will definitly check it out once I have the ol pc up and running to my standards again. Thanks for the suggestion. I've only seen them play the one time but it was more then enough to hook me line and sinker. I really wish they'd play a few shows in Ontario this year but I have heard there going to be in the studio soon. I think i'd prefer a new album and catch them next year instead.

The concert I went to Brad was milling about the concert goers But i'm a lamo and was too shy to strike up a conversation with him. REGRETS!!!

  11. I love the Slip, love em, can't get enough of that stuff.

My beau bought From the Gecko and Live Is My Jumby offline a couple years ago and I felt a great connection the first time I heard them. We now own most of the albums and countless live recordings.

I finally got to see them last October at Pepper Jacks in Hamilton. Brad is incredible. He plays and sings from the heart. He's not afraid to play and sing so openly, and I really enjoyed seeing that. He's also a damn good song writer.

Marc is such a good bassist, and Andrew is a superb drummer. I can't say enough about any of the boys, there all masters at their instruments.

I recommend you give them a listen if you haven't heard any of there albums. If you've only heard studio then check out some live stuff and vice-versa.

I've just connected with these guys in a deep way...
