  1. Alexis: How did you train Jinxy to go in the toilet? Monty is very smart and i'm sure he could learn. Murphy on the other hands nicks name is dumb dumb and well I think him learning to use the litter box probably took all his mental capabilities.. :)

Kaidy: It took me a few minutes but I can see the hilarity..stupid cat.

Polkaroo: Monty as well as Murphy are both peeing and deficating machines. They have no trouble at all going to the washroom but thank you just the same for the concern!!

  2. I hear this scratching sound coming from the bathroom and think "what are the cats doing now?" but just forget about it. A couple minutes later the scraching is still going on so I go investigate thinking they're destroying something. I go in the bathroom and Murphy is peering over the side of the tub and Monty is sitting there nicely in the tub. This isn't uncommon as Monty likes to roll balls, candels, potatoes (anything round he can carry) around in the bathtub. I go over to pet them and see Monty squatting with a yellow substance running down to the drain. At first I thought my shampoo must have been knocked over by the idiot then I realise the little asshole is peeing!! PEEING IN THE FREAKING BATHTUB!! I just finished scrubbing the hell out of the whole bathroom. I'm in utter shock. Since when do cats pee in the bathtub? I know cats will use other places to go when there litter is dirty but I just cleaned it yesterday. I am disgusted thinking that he may have done this before without me knowing and well I have alot of baths. How many times has my bathwater been tainted with cat piss? EWWWW...

Does anyone else's kitties do this kind of thing? Does anyone have any reasoning behind it? My search online came up with nothing..

Stupid cats..another reason why DOGS hold my number one spot as domesticated pets...

  3. SO last night I stayed up until 4 in the morning reading Harry Potter. Slept 3 hours, worked, read more then fell asleep for 5 hours. Your messing up my sleeping patterns HARRY!!

Why do these books have to be so damn good!!

  4. You know Dr..that's exactly how I got into it. I was baby sitting my cousins quite often and they were also reading it before bed time. I was so interested in what was happening that I had to go get my own copies. I'm a nerd, I have a set I read and a set that is just for looking at. I won't spoil it for anyone, I promise!!

  5. How many of my fellow skanks are Harry Potter geeks like myself?

I waited until Sunday to buy my copy because long lines and bratty kids isn't really my thing.

I've read almost half the book now. It's full of wonderful surprises and lives up to all expectations so far. Anyone else reading The Halfblood Prince?

  6. I was just saying last night how much I would love to see Don Ross again. I was able to catch him last winter with Carter Lancaster at Hamilton place. I cannot for the life of me remeber the stand up bass musician that accompnied him for some songs. Maybe it was this Andrew White character. I doubt Djed and I will be able to make the Toronto date but I really really wish I could. Don Ross is a suberb musician as well as witty, funny and very sincere. If anyone has not had the chance to hear this mans music please do so...

  7. It's so odd that I actually found out about Lose Your Shoes yesterday. I found it on a link on the CTMF website. What makes me angry is that I lived about 20 minutes from Kearney for about 5 years of my life and had NEVER even heard about Lose Your Shoes. I really want to go. I mean I can go see awsome music, dance the night away, then go back to my moms in Huntsville and have a good breakfast and a SHOWER!! Now I just have to wait for Djed to make up his mind..:)

  8. Hello Everyone:

I was just wondering if anyone else is planning on catching these two shows on the weekend?? From Pepper Jacks website:

KAKI KING is a feisty, five-foot, funny, outspoken Atlanta transplant who now lives in New York, a city whose energy is almost equal to her own. She also happens to be the most exciting solo guitarist/composer to have come along in decades. On her upcoming album, Legs to Make Us Longer (Epic), she blazes through a set of original works with an intensity that reflects her world -- the subway platform gigs, the late shifts at the Mercury Lounge, the surreptitious intermission entrances into Lincoln Center to catch some Stravinsky -- more than the new age stupor that most solo guitar music seems to induce.

Kaki has toured incessantly since getting signed, opened for an array of headliners (Marianne Faithful, David Byrne, Robert Randolph, Keb Mo, Soulive, Mike Gordon and Charlie Hunter to name a few), played a set at Bonnaroo, performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, hurried to engagements all over the world, and pretty much single-handedly -- actually, double-handedly -- dragged the art of solo acoustic guitar back to prominence, with an edginess that matches the temperament of her own generation.

I'm sure anyone that was at CTMF would love to see JFJO again:

While on a short break from tour with Les Claypool, JACOB FRED JAZZ ODYSSEY will make their Hamilton debut on Sunday July 17. After two mind-boggling sets a few weeks ago at the

Come Together Music Festival, JFJO are excited for their return to the region, their second trip to Canada.

" JFJO burns with a quiet intensity rather than dramatically explodes. The musicians play with a coiled looseness, improvising with quicksilver yet deliberate force. You can hear the band's power and inventiveness creatively eroding structure, and the tension produced from that is exhilarating. If JFJO isn't moving jazz forward, it is shifting its center of gravity interestingly askew. " - Dave Segal, JAZZTIMES

"...the powerful presence of Brian Haas is a force to be reckoned with. Haas is a free player, creating his own style of music that brazenly eludes any label or description... you can hear the sound of musical boundaries being erased, and it's a beautiful thing. " - Robbie Genet, KEYBOARD MAGAZINE

" You are pushing jazz forward in a brand new direction. Thanks!" - CECIL TAYLOR (the Jazz legend told Brian after witnessing

    3 hours of JFJO live.)

" You'll be hearing a lot about Reed Mathis from the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, because he's doing innovative stuff. "

  9. I wanted to share with you my favourite dog in the WORLD. This is Lester. He's my dads lab cross. This brute weighs 135 pounds and stands taller then me. He's very smart as well. He's been known to open fridge, sliding glass and knobed doors, he can speak and sit pretty, he plays ball and stick like no other. You should see him chase a stick off the dock!!

He's also about the biggest suck you'll ever meet and very very spoiled. Do you know any other dogs that get roast beef and all the trimmings regularly? My father has Lesters mother Mabel as well as a yellow lab Adeline or Addie for short. Addie and Les will probably be having puppies in a year or so :) Well this is the lot of them:

  10. Something like this in a head shop might cost upwards of 40 dollars so this is definitly a steal. Whoever ends up buying this guy will have got a great price. I myself won't bid as I prefer pipes. Bongs make me choke, alot:(

  11. I've been an animal lover my whole life. My mother was patient enough to let me have an assortment of small pets and fish when I was younger. I was also was fortunate enough to work in a very clean, health consious pet shop in Bowmanville for 2 years.

Animals are my passion. I think of all things I know the most about it would be pets or animals in general. I love them as i'm sure many of you do.

In my current household I have two rascals of cats; Monty and Murphy. Monty I found in a parking lot when he was 6 months old and Murphy we aquried from my sister. Monty is completely grey from the tip of his nose to his paw pads and Murphy is a white and brown tabby with a huge, poufy racoon tail. Both have such unique personalities and make me laugh to no end..

Erich and I also have a 35 gallon aquarium full of various fish and live plants. We've had two batches of platy babies as well and have watched them grow from a minisule size. We watch our aquarium like most people would watch a television. One of our favourite past times is to smoke, and watch our fish and underwater garden.

Today we welcomed Rhubarb to the zoo. Ruby is an abyssinian guinea pig. She has rosettes or cowlicks all over her body and is tortoiseshell and white. She is relaxing at the moment, getting used to her new home. She seems very docile although she is scared silly at the moment. I can't wait until she calms down so that I can scrath her back and find the spots that make her purr with joy.

Living with animals funny antics and special traits is an expierence in itself. They become such a huge part of your life so quickly......

Rhubarb looks a bit like this guy..

  12. Yesterday I went to Toronto for the first time by myself (small town girl). When I stepped off the train at Union I was absoulotly amazed by how heavy and different the air felt. I felt like I was breathing fumes from a car exhaust or something along those lines.

My friend and I took her dog for a walk in the afternoon and were outside less then half an hour. By the time we got home both of us were drentched in sweat. It was gross. I certinly did not pick teh best day to visit Toronto.
