Thank you everyone for the good vibes. I think they payed off. I just got off the phone with my mom. I'm arriving in Huntsville on Thursday, meeting John Friday and hopefully going out with him on Sunday..

I also got a job today after being unemplyed for less then a week. Well two today but I had to turn one down.

This month is starting out great....

Heights and ghosts. When i'm up high my legs start shaking, my stomach drops and I feel queasy. The ghost thing is just an irratinal silly fear but I honestly get super freaked out.

When I was a kid I lived on my aunts horse farm for two years. Ever since i've caught the horse bug. It's unfortunatly been years since i've rode but whenever I can I surround myself with the huge beautiful beasts.

When I lived on the farm I met various vets and horse people. But the person that always caught my attention the most was the man that came out to clip the horses hooves and shoe them. I told my mom when I was a wee lass that someday I wanted to be a farrier.

Farrier: One who shoes horses.

My mother met her good friends fiance today for the first time and asked about his line of work. He told her he was a black smith. My moms has heard me talk about horses for years so when he mentioned he worked with horses as well she asked "isn't that a farrier?"

Well long story short she told him all about me. He then proceded to tell my moms that he is looking for apprentices and would love to meet me. She told him I lived about three hours away and he said he would even be willing to take me on for only weekends.

My mom then called me and I am now in total shock.

Since I have always been a bit of a drifter and dropped out of school early it's been living dead end job to dead end job for me. If this all works out I will be one very happy lady. I would be working with horses every day, doing something challenging as well as bringing in some serious moula. I should be going to meet him and discuss plans this weekend.

I need some serious good vibes my friends.

I can't say that I bash anyone that uses drugs. I CAN SAY that I will bash anyone that uses drugs in front of children and even in this case where they are leaving dangerous devices for children to see and even hurt themselves with. Children are so beautifully naive and innocent. It is very very wrong to expose them to something like that so young. I agree with your anger phorbesie. I hope that these retards will find a better place to do there drugs then a childrens playground.

Funeral is actually on of my favourite albums right now. I caught them when they were the musical guest on one of the late night talk shows and was blown away. This album is exciting, intimate and even romantic. There is not one song on it that I don't enjoy. Win Butler's voice is so passionate and at times reminds me alot of David Byrne. At first I felt that Régine Chassagne's voice was lacking and I was really turned off by it. After giving the album a few more listens I fell in love with her vocals. Her voice is so raw and real. In the backseat quickly became a favourite song. There is so much going on musically that you'll never lose interest. AMAZING, AMAZING, album. If you haven't checked these cats out I would highly recommend doing so..

I didn't have to witness the actual killing.

When I was about 16 my parents raised 6 bulls for beef for there resturaunt. I bottle fed them and then grain fed them. Every night I would clean there stalls and feed them there hay. I guess it never really clicked in that they were going to die soon because when I got home from my mothes house one weekend dad had made this huge roast beef dinner and I commented on how good it was. He then said "well i hope you like it, it's bluberry your eating there" (blueberry was my favoutite bull) and i just about died. I seriously threw up and well didn't eay meat from home for about 6 months. You'd think i would have became a vegetarion.

It's weird because I get asked this question alot because I am a huge animal lover. The cow wouldn't "have" to be used as meat but when your feeding a bull, a pregnant cow and then her baby you have to somehow make the money back used in grain and hay. I really don't care about money but eating the baby would basically pay for the upkeep of the mother and bull.

In all reality I probably couldn't even kill the chickens for meat and they'd all end up my pets with names...LOL.

If I won the money I would take it all. I have actually thought about this so bear with me.

I would buy a large peice of property and build a house as well as a barn on it first. I would then build a green house as well as outdoor vegtable gardens. I would also purchade a cow and bull. This may seem harsh to some of you but I would use the bull to make the cow preggo of course, have milk and then use the baby when it's grown for meat. I would have assorted chickens for both eggs and meat as well. I'm not sure how I would go about electricty but besides that I would basically be self reliant. House payed for, animals and gardens for food, i'm learning to sew so I may even be able to make my own clothes and just purchase fabric. If it all worked out right I may even build a small community so like minded people could live off the land as well.

Everyone is going to laugh at me for this BUT:

I don't know what i've done but my Jambands page is now loading with huge ugly fonts and i don't like it. It isn't my internet settings either becaue all other pages i visit are in normal small font. Can you please tell me how to fix this. I've tried a few times and can't find the font options for the page.

The May long weekend was my first festival ever and I had high hopes of going to the Canada Day event as well. I suppose i'll just have to figure out something else to do.
