at least people actually win the car now. it was pretty cheesy a few years ago when you only won a one or two year lease. a friend was in nursing at lakehead way back and she said that every other person was winning a bike - cups had not been terribly well randomized.

so I guess the fact that the Iranian parents were denied refugee status, legally deported by Canada, and subsequently obtained fraudulent Greek passports intended solely to illegally enter Canada has nothing to do with the plight of their son? do any of you actually think they would have re-applied thru legal channels after they had entered Canada?

dont blame the 'system', as flawed as it is. blame the parents for playing a dangerous game of international consequence. the fact that the boy was born in Canada does not justify any of their actions. clearly, their original case to stay in Canada wasnt all that strong. they were deported. the boy is being played like a pawn by the parents.

Friends have and Ive eaten them, but Ive never done it myself. Im pretty sure it was carrot, and yeah it was very tastey. Not real sure how dry it gets, or if you'd have to use extra wet in the recipe. I think its more a case of waste not want not, rather than specifically using it for a recipe. But for sure, it was good. I guess you could use apple, carrot, maybe even orange or celery if ya simply wanted to add texture and healthful goodness, not so much for flavour, but i dunno.

see, i guess that's the point. when is it inappropriate to use certain terms? i like djmelbatoast's spin on it. if its used in a derogatory way, its not cool. personally, i had no problem with ollie's quip because it was clearly intended to be humourously provocative. but, who the hell am I to say, and i guess thats the other point. what's offensive to me might not be to someone else and vicey versey and who "decides". also, if one is "in" the group, are they "more" allowed to make such comments than those not "in" the group?
