where are the folks from, captainsunshine? if its a smaller sorta place ... i'd recommend a bunch of places we tend to take for granted living in a big city, like the Eaton Center, the subway, city hall, CN Tower, as well as the other more Toronto-specific places like the Hockey Hall of Fame, Harbourfront, and all the ones already recommended.
note that the weather may be wonky, so as good as the suggestions are re: various districts in town (chinatown, greektown, kensington) they may not be as nice if its slushy outside.

A few years ago, I stumbled up on shocking case described here and here about the removal of a journal article about the genetic origins of Jews and Palestinians.
I learned that someone at McMaster University had blindly followed the publisher's request and actually cut the article out of the journal. When I asked about it, senior staff were stunned - they quickly located a copy, printed it and inserted it back into the journal, saying it wasnt the university's policy to censor academia.
Things like this really make ya scratch your head. Here is the article , if ya care. It's rather boring, but man, did it cause a stir.

we had sushi at a new place in guelph yesterday. was good for guelph.
do y'all get cravings for sushi? how often? or, is it regular fare? only one or two times every few weeks for me. i tend to go, like it want more, and go again the next day. then not for weeks.

i know eh, we need a scorecard some days to keep up with the alter-ego's. i gave up trying to figure it all and now just assume every single skank here is one 'person' - god - and (s)he is talking directly to me. its easier that way.
