  1. I just wanted to write a little blurb about something Bridgehead is doing. We are accepting shoe donations for refugees in Darfur. It started with some runners discussing what to do with their used running shoes and it grew into this: Sole Responsibility. We ask that they are in good-ish condition, and sorry ladies...no high-heels ;) Shoes of all sizes are encouraged (kids too!) You can drop off your donation at any b-head location (362 richmond rd, 1277 wellington, 108 third, 366 Bank, or 282 Elgin) We also encourage you to donate a twonie per pair to help cover the shipping costs. Thanks so much!!!

  2. Just watched it this weekend...goooood times! Two thumbs up. I wish it had more footage with emergency, but it also shows solo stuff (and songs with Peter Elkas - nice surprise) But the highlight is during the credits...the cutest little girl singing along to extraordinary!!! tooooo muuuuuuch! I definitely suggest checking it out/buying it.

  3. ;)

Well, it really was a perfect weekend. Highlights for me include: being with most of my favourite people, staying in a cabin in the woods, a great turn out at the shows, the band sounding awesome, playing good songs, light show gets better every time I see them, seeing Hodge, Whiteface set was perfect (temperature, setting, dancing, tailspin, meat, bearsong reprise!!etc...) having great home-cooked meals, Everyone Orchestra (conductor and Fishman in particular) Reid singing Deal, Jim and Fishman drum-off, Stacey buying snow-beast poncho, guy with flourescent green spandex spider unitard!!! (unbelievable), random creepy dude that followed us to the aftershow, U-melt with Shannon Lynch on sax, kissing Rob on the cheek :D , finally getting a cab back to our place, photo shoot with the snow-beast poncho, and all the other memories I didn't mention.

    Perfect Perfect Perfect!

  4. As far as music goes you could always check out the Putumayo collection. I think they have a few Cuban ones. I listen to them at work all the time, they are fun! It is also a good source to just get an idea for different artists.

As far as food goes make sure to pick up some authentic gross cheese and put it in everything, and for beverages pick up some kermato (cuban clamato) - just joking...but I know there are people out there who know what I mean.

Lastly, this sounds like an INCREDIBLE party!!! Please come up to Ottawa and organize one too. I would be there for sure!! Good luck.
