  1. Hey all you Ottawa folks! Just wanted to let you know that my friend Glenna is playing a show tomorrow night (friday) at Rasputin's on bronson. She's a solo singer/songwriter. Not sure what time show starts...probably around 9ish. Hope to see some of you there!

  2. I had a great time. Yup the beer/food selection left a lot to be desired, but after a few Molson Canadians (and some handy sleeman cream) it didn't seem to matter. I was happy to hear a Tailspin...I really like it. The rest of the sets were pretty solid. Spent most of the show f.o.b. where the sound was great. Got right up to second row centre with my friend for the end of plane crash as a nice little adventure. And what would an Akimbo be without Chuck forgetting the words! Love it! All in all, great times, great people, great music. What more could you want? Only 2 1/2 months until moe.down....

p.s. did anyone else catch the guy all in black, with the glasses, hat, tie, and pencil thin mooooostachio? He was a great reoccuring character throughout my day.

  3. Hey GM, you're right, this sort of thing is kinda bad to start, because when people get left out... ;)

Otherwise its a cool kinda thing, letting people know they are loved and appreciated, when sometimes we just assume that they know. So, I loves all yous guys! you da bestest! Thanks for giving me something to read on my lunch breaks!

  4. oh my god! Thank you soooo much for posting this. I've been laughing for about the past half hour now reading them and then reading them again. Too funny!! So far Joyce and Roger are my favourites, but Man o' War isn't far behind. Tooo funny.

  5. Hilarious!!! I thought I was the only one who remembered telefrancais!! Good to know I'm not alone. "Telefrancais Fantastique!" Does anyone remember voyage of the Mimi? (cast including a young Ben Affleck)

As far as games for grade niners...maybe something involving going outside - it never really feels like class when you go outside.

  6. Hey Benny D!! How are ya? So one show that I know of where they did an acoustic first set is April 2000 (not sure of the exact date) but it was the last time they played the Timmy Tucker rock opera (and its from the Wetlands) Hope this helps. Good luck.
