  1. Duece, NumeroDos, what's-your-face, whatever; I too am lost at your point. I think the people who showed sympathy here are mostly musicians or people involved in the music industry as it were. Since this is a music forum, this all makes perfect sense to me. I sort of get your point in the proverbial sense, as yes, children are still starving in Africa and America is still making an ass of humanity. But this forum and this thread seem to fit like pees in a pod to me.

Just my 2 cents, if you don't hate me yet, jump on board.

  2. Oh, I'm not trying to put together a charity case. This kid is Allman Brothers Heritage. He's got money to keep on playing that guitar. Still sucks, but I thought it was a nice story how people 'pulled together' to help. Kind of like Bouche is doing trying to solicit Canadian equipment. It's all good. :)

  3. I think it's funny that a Southern Man has a Boulder County Phone.

And, I think it's sad that they had all their gear stolen.

I recall this happening to Robert Walther's and his 20th Congress a few years back and there were a few charitable concerts dedicated to his aid. All the best the the Allman Gene Pool.

  4. Either way, you and me are having words at some point. You're a lot more publiished than I thought Shaindawg, but me still has a friendly bone to pick. ;)

I'm just curious. And it was Vanity that killed the Cat; Curiosity stood idely by wondering what all the hype was About. :)

Edit to add: above smilies and a lighter 'air' to the post.

  5. I wonder who would win in a fight between Chuck Norris vs Jack Bauer vs Tony Soprano?

I'm putting my money on Jack.

Tony, the fat fuck wouldn't even have to leave the strip bar and, they'd both be washed up in the wetlands of the armpit of America; or, the Asshole of New York. Whatever you want to call the Dirty Jerz.

  6. On the 'hold the beat front: Around the 6 minute mark in the video (sorry no clickable text) the kid drops into some nasty grooves, and if I can recall, switches back between a few before going back into lightning fast, abstract solo mode. I think he could, but obviously it would be a learned trait. On that note, ten years have gone by and you should see what he's up to know. Probably holding down grooves like it's no one's business would be my guess.
