  1. I understand what your are saying, I generally don't look to MMW and Sco for beautiful, I look for funk and am often disappointed with free form jazz in the live environment, however this is an album that needs serious listening and while it may not eclipse A Go-Go I think it has a lot more to say than what you may hear at first glance.

P.S. I may be influenced by my recent acquisition of Phil & friends with Sco at the Warfield, Nice, I like!

  2. Speaking of drummers who lead, two guys I have noticed recently at live shows who lead a lot of the changes in direction of the groove and/or develop segues are Stanton moore and John Molo. Molo blew my mind this summer, a very dominant force in the band.

  3. Maracatu Nunca Antes (brazilian drum group) will be marching through the market today at 2:45 p.m. as part of the car free Sundays. Check it out' date=' they rock![/quote']

They blow me away every time I see them. They can bring tears to my eyes, I swear.

Check out their Beat Migration party this friday at Lee's Palace, good grooves and beautiful ladies! I'm involved in a wedding so I can't make otherwise I'd be there, wicked party.

  4. Furthermore, early Genesis is often quoted in interviews with Fishman and Trey as being one of their musical influences. I would hesitate to call TMB a "cover band". You would be hard pressed to notice any significant difference between their show and the original one except that TMB is probably a little tighter. Any, and all jambands fans should check this band out before they retire ( I think this may be their last tour).

    Check it!
