I just bought, the new Scofield, MMW album and the Julie cover is breathtaking, absolutely beautiful. Wow, these boys can play.

Does funky imply patchouli and B.O.?

Let's see more pics, nice work jaydawg.

Those guys are awesome musicians, I think the new band would be excellent but with a new singer comes a new sound. Anytime people think that the lead singer makes the band, it's a shitty band.

Keep Rock'in Bobby and win me some DVD's...

Sorry, maybe we should move this topic to the history forum.

Who the fuck cares about history? I care about good music and Phish was that.

I was, the Suzy kicked ass.
Me and my friends were dosed to the gills on molly and had a blast.

Solid show Deeps, me and my crew had a blast! Special mentions go to the Crazy Train tease (very funny) and first tube was a nice treat.
Good luck on the road,

I'll be in Peterborough tomorrow for a wedding rehearsal dinner so I'll check out the show after.
See you bitches at the Dog!

Ya, the tune some skunk funk (Some Skunk Funk ) Rocks.

Speaking of drummers who lead, two guys I have noticed recently at live shows who lead a lot of the changes in direction of the groove and/or develop segues are Stanton moore and John Molo. Molo blew my mind this summer, a very dominant force in the band.

Sir links-a-lot strikes again!

Does anyone have any live Billy Cobham shows from his super funk days?

Let's have a pagan orgy!

Furthermore, early Genesis is often quoted in interviews with Fishman and Trey as being one of their musical influences. I would hesitate to call TMB a "cover band". You would be hard pressed to notice any significant difference between their show and the original one except that TMB is probably a little tighter. Any, and all jambands fans should check this band out before they retire ( I think this may be their last tour).
Check it!

Probably the head shot kid, apparently they couldn't transport for twenty minutes until the police secured the area and could ensure the paramedics safety. This is not the Canada I want to live in...

I guess we need to look at our own culture and determine how this can happen. No longer can we pretend this is an American problem, automatic weapons are available to teenagers in Canada as well as the U.S..

I beleive it is illegal to refuse to serve tap water at a licensed venue. Threaten to call the health inspector or just drink from the tap, that works.

I understand what your are saying, I generally don't look to MMW and Sco for beautiful, I look for funk and am often disappointed with free form jazz in the live environment, however this is an album that needs serious listening and while it may not eclipse A Go-Go I think it has a lot more to say than what you may hear at first glance.
P.S. I may be influenced by my recent acquisition of Phil & friends with Sco at the Warfield, Nice, I like!
