They played "Hummingbird" too.

Great show. Powderfinger and Everybody knows were definitely treats. Really can't wait to see a full Wilco show soon.
I have to agree with AD on the 'Worlds Collide'.

yes guy! We're on the floor too..!
For those driving- park close to that covered walkway that runs from the front door, through the parking lot.
Usually folks can be found enjoying pre-show bevs somewhere towards the back.

Happy birthday to my favourite neighbour!

Jesus- I can't imagine what would've been more terrifying for this 'male escort'.. seeing the second man waiting, or seeing Boy George's grinning mug when he initially arrived.
Coincidentally, if they ever make a 'Battle of the Planets' movie, BoyGeorge's should play Zoltron.

Glad to hear it WhiteyM- They kill!

thank god, they should have ended it years ago.
I was just gonna say.

Sounds like fun Todd!

I agree that public transit and basic city services like snow removal should certainly take priority.
I just like my city to have some art, and if they must save money there to keep our city service running smoothly- sure, reduce the funding.
Cutting it by 100% is a gesture that bothers me as a tax payer and citizen.

I don't think this would have a huge impact on Bluesfest, but considering the amount of money Bluesfest brings into Ottawa, it's ridiculous that they would retract support..
The real sting is on the smaller, younger festies- that need the funding to operate at all.
-
Check this out!! Cutting all city funding to everything that makes living here good!
email your city cousellor dude!

Both my Grandfathers were officers in the Polish army when WWII broke out. Both managed to avoid the mass Soviet execution of Polish officers in Katyn and also managed to avoid being sent out to the gulags and concentration camps.
I don't really know specific stories of their wartime ordeals, but they both survived the war.
My Gramps joined the Polish army 6 months before Germany invaded, at 19.
He talks about it pretty candidly; he said he didnt sleep for the entire (11 day) defense. He spent the rest of the war in work camps in Germany and Norway.
