  1. Where do I start?

Everyone is crazy who came down tonight, especially Mike. I think he was drunk. I am getting a block now. Lynn, tell me what to say. A little help from over there too..........ok, Barrett is my most favorite Canadian.

What was that anyway? Wow, that was a flashback.

PS: I love spending time with Lynn because she is my most favorite Canadian and Barrett can suck my ass. Well, that sounds gay.

    Sincerely,

    Vermont Dave

  2. Let's get some reviews on that Ween show last night. It being the first time I've seen them, all I can say is that was entertaining. They seem to do glam/punk/country/rock better than anyone I can think of.

    set one:

    Aids

That's about all I know. And I was there.

  3. I've been a painter for close to twenty years and rarely use any oil based products anymore. On that note however, as far as the brush goes, the only thing that really works well are mineral spirits (e.g. paint thinner). It's nasty stuff that should be disposed of properly.

As far as your cat, I'd suggest your basic baby oil (especially for the nose or face).

  4. www.thefabfaux.com Although, I don't think they're a cover band in the traditional sense. I heard them on Howard Stern a couple weeks back. They did 'Strawberry Fields', 'I am the Walrus' and 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. It was crazy how they were able to recreate live, the studio sound of these songs.

  5. Vermonters are a strange breed.

I've only lived among them for fifteen years or so, and, slowly I've come to realise that I will never be accepted as a 'native' Vermonter. I will however, 'Keep on Keepin on'.

'Oh Canada, my home and native land, plus Vermont.'

  6. Hey Velvet

Don't cancel the room. My buddy isn't going so the hotel it is.

Groove, that quote really sums up the way I feel about the state of things as of late. That supersticious/nationalist thing has got a lot of pull. It seems to be losing steam at the moment, but I will never write it off.

  7. Hey Jaimoe I remember that I think. Did he play 'Jack and Diane'? He was in the first stages of his career? Like 1982 or therabouts?

He was the rage when I was in jr. high. In fact, the first 'real' rock concert I wanted to go to was Journey. Since it was a week night, my mom said no. The second concert I wanted to go to was John Cougar, but, once again, for the same reason my ma said no. The third time was a charm and it happened to be the Grateful Dead. Go figure.

John Cougar Mellencamp has consistently put out decent stuff over the years. I read a review in RS about a show with John Fogerty. I'd like to get the tape.

  8. The Fox news people will have fun with this, but the message is clear. The majority of the people are starting to notice that the rhetoric don't match up to reality.

I think the D.C. cops were doing their job.

Civil disobedience is something that you do when you want to get your message out, but you know you'll get arrested.

    I agree with Cindy.

  9. I'm in, but I don't think the question applies to me. I think it's about the drive.

Anyhoo, if it's just you two coming down, I think there could be some free condo couch space. Ask Hux, my bros got some good sleeping couches.

  10. That was Hi-larious! Even if Cleese didn't pen it, I could imagine him presenting it seated behind a desk.

"And now for something completely different."

The only one I didn't understand was #11

Salt? in the tea? Is that a reference to the 'Tea party' in the early 1770's?

  11. I remember seeing that to Brad, and it did make me think. I believe, if I were the terrorist(which I'm not), and I was complicit in terrorist activity(which I'm not). I would be prepared to undergo any painful, degrading process that could be thrown at me.

The whole idea that inflicting physical/psycholgical pain will give a truthful response is purely speculative. I'd be hard pressed to believe otherwise.
