Lost
in Soundboard
I got sucked into this last year and I thought it was great. However, they better give us some answers, or I'll be forced to keep waiting till they do.
#1 What's in the hatch?
#2 What's with the numbers?
#3 Who are the 'others', and what are they up to?
#4 Will any of the ladies get naked?
I'll be there.

Hey Booche,
Can ya also fill me in on the latest with Brad and Jen? I heard she was bummed, but Brad was doing OK due to Angelie. Since that whole firestorm, I've been looking for a diversion. Thanks.

Once you get past the implicit monotheism, for which I've lost most of my patience, this is classic (especially considering that it comes out of North Carolina, of all places).
Reminds me of a t-shirt I saw recently: Humanity, this is God, pick up, I'm not leaving another message!
I agree. However it shouldn't be surprising that it comes from the southern US. Some of the most foul-mouthed, anti-monotheistic people I've met have come from regions where the bible is above the common law. It makes sense that there would be a reactionary response to the rigid dogma that permeates their daily lives.
BTW
I believe in the Flying Spagetti Monster and pirates.
Avast ye scalliwags! Arrrr!

Damon Wayans, speaking at something called Tom Joyners family reunion vowed to shoot both his sons in the foot if the draft were reinstated.
Now, I know DW from 'In living Colour', and I also think Tom Joyner is a columnist or something, but I copied this down with pen and can't provide the link.
DW
"I'll send my sons, if he sends his daughters. Put those two drunk bitches on a plane and let them go fight. At least I know my sons would be getting some on the way.
Hey boys, how did you survive?
Oh dad, in the Bushes."

I just got one for sunday! I've never seen them, but I've been getting into them as of late. As far as lodging goes, I'll get in touch with a buddy who lives down the road from HG. He's probably going and we could most definately crash there. If there's a bunch of skanks coming down however, we should probably all go in on a hotel room.
Can't wait.

Dear Hamilton,
How many nipples does a person have to have before it's considered weird?

Steve,
I apologize for the over the top, incoherent bashing of the POTUS. I was a little drunk.I didn't mean to offend you. The fact that you care about the direction of the country enough to vote your concience is admirable. I agree with you on points you made about the two party system.
Still, I disagree with your reasons for voting for George W.. In my opinion, Al Gore is not an idiot, and would have made a better POTUS than our current gendarme.
The only question I have for you is how do you go from favoring Dean to rejecting Kerry and then voting Bush? His policies since his selection in Jan. 01, coupled with State wide majority of the Repugs have brought the economic growth of your state down.
Oh yeah, Davey Boy can keep his opinions about M.U., and any other thuoghts he has to hisself.

Steve,
I know the politics are very different between Ohio and Vermont, but I still can't wrap my head around the reason for any sentient being to have supported this miserable failure of a human being.
My recent timeline:
2000: Voted for McCain in primary because I knew Gore would get the nomination from the Dems (he did), but I disliked this spoiled failure of a Connecticut robber baron family (Bush) so much, I cast my lot with the Repugs for the primary (McCain won one of his only primaries in Vt.). Nov. 00, I voted Gore.
9/11/01 through about the end of January 02:
I supported this bastard and his minions bacause I thought it was for the common good. I was wrong.
Early 02 to present:
This administration has done more to hurt the collective morale of this country than any other admin in the history of my great country. IMO!

p.s. MM is a blowhard ,but sometimes we need someone to blow hard. The list grows daily.

I was agreeing with Esau while reading this thread and then started some music. What was the first tune? Yep, you guessed it, My brother Esau.
Coincidence? I think not.

Hey Big Fan, George W sucks and we can all appreciate that fact.
I saw the price of petrol (what my people call maize), go from $2.50 to $3.20 overnight.
We live in a beautiful era of Robber Barons and such. Carpe Diem.
p.s. You missed a good Bob Weir show at www.highergroundmusic.com

I wouldn't put anything past this alliance of neocons and end-of-timers.
The bastards are starting to feel the heat. Why not create a giant catastrophe to take the sheeples mind off of other unpleasantries?
On the other hand, I don't think we're capable of doing anything more than tracking and predicting Mother Natures attitude.

Just for the record I don't drink Jager. Beer and whiskey is my way of achieving a hangover.
Seeing the set list in full is nice. Matt Kelly on the mouth harp for a good chunck of the show gave it a nice sixties GD blues band feel.
p.s. After the show, Hux was the first to pass out. Granted, it was late, but, I just gotta point this out.

Vermontdave it is a little ironic that you post on this thread with that quote (S. Lewis). Have you been planning that the whole time. You have to be a fan of 'Long Trail' (Double Bag) or you would not have those powers.
The only irony is that I drink cheap beer.

I'm glad that the fascist bastards who think they control the people still have confidence. It's similar yet different to 'Soylent Green'. It's not "Peopllllle..........", it's "Hubriiiiiiis".
Cindy Sheehan, has started a movement.

But they taste different.
Touche!
I admit, I've never tasted horse shit.

Last night, I went to City Hall park in Burlington for the candlelight vigil in support of Cindy Sheehan. I support peace. I don't think that the way to solve a problem is to kill someone. It's way too easy.
The current regime is losing traction at a breathtaking pace. We shouldn't, however, start doing cartwheels any time soon. We have family and friends serving their country in a very dangerous place. We pray for them. We want them home.
Some day, we'll realize that horse shit and bull shit are the same thing.

One of the most amazing shows I ever saw was Col. Bruce and ARU at the Metronome (above Nectars in Burlington). They had Leftover Salmon open and then did atwo hour set of classic jamband shite. All the dudes from the now defunct band from my neck of the woods (except Paige), joined in the fun.
Ah, memories.

I have something in a tape box somewhere (I think in a closet) which has that line-up.
I might be thinking of a different get together, but there was a run-up to the New Years around that time that Duane jammed with the boys.
The Allmans and the Dead were in the right place at the right time did some righteous music.

A recess appointment is perfectly justified in a legal sense. No problems there. The problem for me is that dubbleyew insists that a man who said, "There is no such thing as the United Nations...", is now given the top spot (albeit temporary) to speak for the president, the nation and me.

The 'third term' comment was meant to mean that these bastids will stop at nothing to keep control.
