  2. gamehenge is an odyssey. i remember the first time i listened to the whole thing and was awe struck. amazing. no interest in stats here, would LOVE to hear it all. who doesnt like listening to trey talk eg harpua..????

2.0 vs. 3.0 ummmh did they change their name? just kidding, but 2-28-03 stands up to ANY show from ANY year.

page was the star of hampton. thats all i can comment on as have not heard any phish since.

    see ya at the gorge!

  3. Cyclists are pretty loud when it comes to staking their right to the roadway and the worst when it comes to actually following the rules of the road. I see it on a daily basis: cyclists blowing through red lights and stop signs' date=' riding on sidewalks, riding against one-way traffic, failing to signal, etc.

And don't tell me that's the exception because it's far and away the majority of cyclists that break the rules they are so keen to see enforced against other vehicles. I've even seen cyclists use the sidewalk when there's a clearly marked bike lane on the road next to it. The Laurier bridge is a good example of where I've seen this happen, for those in Ottawa.

Other than being a sweeping non-scientific generalization, I agree with your main points. Some cyclists think they are immune to the rules of the road. But really though, if a reckless and agressive bike courier gets greased by a car, is this such a bad thing? Seriously, the cyclists that drive on sidewalks are arrogant and/or ignorant idiots; same with the ones that blow through red lights and stop signs.

i agree. i bike and drive (sometimes at the same time). the other day this cyclist comes up the right side and goes right in front of my car where i was waiting at a red to go straight. problem is shes turning left. so she skips about five cars , cuts in front of everyone, then no one got to go straight as had to wait for her to turn. ugh.

as a cyclist for sure the most risky thing is intersections when cars are turning right, and your coming up the right..heads up!

  4. got to reminiscing tonight about easter seal camp in BC...if there is anyone aged 18-24 or so (one counsellor was 29 one was 17) looking for an AMAZING summer you should check it out. (at this late date it might be hard to get in , but often they need male staff at the last minute)

basically, its the best place on earth. seriously though, i would not of believed that, unless i lived it.

it is a place that inspires creativity, uniqueness, and lets you truly be free.

if you want to meet truly amazing spirits (both counsellors and campers) check it out.

anyhow heres a couple links...one to one of the camps another to a camp in texas but really well done video and same premise....

feel free to pm with any questions.

  5. The entire fucking premise of Arcade Fire is pompousness. They're ridiculously ponzi preening art school types that might best be described as faggotish.

...And Win Butler is INCREDIBLY pompous in person, which by its very essence means he has no insight into that whatsoever. I'm sure they get scores of sunshine blown up their ass and went from being awkward indie musicians to world class premadonnas with little time to transition a working personality. Did I mention I hate that fucking band and everything they stand for and good on Wayne Coyne for calling them out. Seriously though Wayne would know the guy has an almost zen like humility about him and certainly must know how to judge a personality, I have no doubt about what he says about Beck negatively or positively about the Edge or JT either. Good on him.

i have no idea where i stand on this issue, but i did find your post very entertaining!

  6. yeah i saw this a two weeks ago in vegas. really good show...almost felt too overloaded at points though, not knowing what to watch.

caught elton john's the red piano while there. this show was one of the best concerts i have ever seen. it really combined excellent cinematography and photography with the music (ie. pamela anderson pole dancing to the bitch is back, justin timberlake playing a young elton back stage, marilyn monroe footage to candle in the wind and on and on...) truly was spetacular. i mean who doesn't drop a tear or two to 'your song' ? there was also one point where they let the first five rows or so go up on stage and surround elton while he sang..kinda reminded of those videos you see of stevie wonder and everyone around the piano rocking out. (sorry to hijack...)

    pinball wizard....yeah baby...

p.s. if anyone is going use priceline! if you pick five star you will probably get the wynn...we got it for 116/night and you can sleep eight in the washroom alone.
