Shit, I lived here and I missed the announcement!
James Cotton! Good score ... I've always been proud of the bluesfest for actually remaining a bluesfest. Highlight for me was John Hammond Jr. a bunch of years ago ...

I actually really didn't enjoy the movie too much. I thought the script was far too stripped down to even stand-alone as an enjoyable movie (like when Malfoy and the Inquisitorial Squad show up unexplained with Neville, Luna, and Ginny near the end).
The battle at the end was good, though I would've really liked to see the Fountain of Magical Bretheren play it's part ... but that's relatively minor.
They also left out my favourite scene in the book, where Umbridge and her crew try and fire Hagrid.

Some dude referred to him as 'bad boy rock star,' but most of the nickleback shit I hear (by accident) is pretty tame and suits doctor's offices quite nicely.

That's a great article ... I'm gonna post it on my facebook, thanks!

I think Shine is a great album ... nice and jangly and upbeat.
That said, I also kinda liked Jennifer Dances

The last 5% is taking a painfully long time.

Got it ... great speed so far for sp few peers.
-
Yeah ... easy.

This could be pretty good. For the record, I rather enjoyed Shine, but I'm not too fond of Bar 17.
-
Well answered!
I'll keep on the lookout ... Thanks!

Rumour has it there's a full version of the MTV Unplugged show ... anyone know of a good spot to download it?

I want to nominate this post for an award of some sort.
-
wow! I'm really happy about that.

With all the hype, I too was expecting all sorts of crazy characters and weird fantasy-type stuff. I was confused through-out, for the above-mentioned reason, but overall I really enjoyed it, and I think knowing what to expect, I'll enjoy it even more next time.

No Quarter is possibly my favourite Zep tune ... gotta snag this one.
-
I'd personally be interested in hearing another album done up like A Live One ... completely remastered, from all different shows, etc.
Just to change it up a bit.
-
I think this is gonna be awesome. Anyone have JPJ's album "Zooma" from a few years back? It's NASTY good.
-
I didn't hate Jennifer Dances at all, for the record.

Crossing shit out on riders was my favourite part of the job. Especially when The Hidden Cameras asked for underwear. Go to a fuckin department store.
However, the Stooges rider is goddamn hilarious. Thank you!

The Fussy Part
a nunny fame
i'm snot mart, cause i just realized that now.
i'll be at this show, and i'm no longer contractually obligated to do so!

I don't think any of it counts as theft. He didn't directly plagarize any one from the book, he just alluded to it. A lot.
Besides, I think it's the tradition of folk and blues to make reference to other songs and poetry and such.

serena is goddamn awesome... go see her!

I suspect it's quite hard to have been in a band like that and not be able to play those songs anymore.
I had negative feelings towards this whole "Doors of the 21st century" garbage with Ian Astbury, but I read an interview with Ray Manzarek saying "the three of us wrote were as much a part of the band as Jim Morrison, why shouldn't we still want to play the music we wrote together?"
