My least favaourite Pink Floyd album is the Roger Waters masturbate-athon "The Final Cut".
I have a special love for Final Cut, but I get where you're coming from even Roger Waters himself hated The way the Final Cut turned out, he has often said he wished he had never written it.
Me too, I also hold a special place in my heart for The Final Cut. I still have it on a white cassette tape. Every time I hear certain moments I get chills. Beautiful, poignant. Waters was a brave man.

If so, let me know!
My handle on there is Bassie

LOL!!! This is the best.
People ask me why I don't like British humor? It's because the insulting is so veiled and clever. This is STRAIGHT UP GOODS, baby. Just the way I like it.

Fuck off, Lahey!!!

Bobby McF totally rocks my world. I'm involved in a vocal improvisation community here in Victoria and let me tell you, he's one of our heros. What a great singer!
Thanks and kudos to the man for taking vocal improv to a level never seen before. Must've been a fantastic show. I saw him on CBC once and it rocked.

No way man, Division Bell has some great tunes on it!
Money would be a very poignant play as well - but I'd say that's gotta be the very least likely number for them to choose!!
It would be pretty funny to see Roger hammering out that good ol' 7/8 bass riff again tho'

That really is a miracle, with all the hate that's gone down between Roger and Dave and the rest of them.
It'll be really interesting to see how it goes, and even more interesting to see what songs they play. Somehow I don't think they'll be playing "The Final Cut" in it's entirety.
I think a "Learning to Fly" would be poignant.

God, I miss A Particular Wave.
They were the best jamband Victoria has ever scene.

I *love* Sweatshop Union ... highly, highly recommended to go see them.

Awesome... I love afrobeat music!
I'm definitely going to catch Femi in Victoria this summer.

Songbird is good, easily. My own fave is Ring, on Harbord St. I've entrusted my most precious instruments to them (bought my Strat there, too, going on almost 20 years back), and have kept the faith.
I'd have to agree. I lived just down the street from Ring Music on Harbord and those guys were really great. Not a huge selection of basses, of course, but a great place to pick up picks, strings, books etc.

Ain't she the bomb tho!?!
Nobody parties like that out here in the West. I mean it. You shoulda seen the looks she got when she came out here for NYE.

Well... I have to testify for L&M's here. They might be a huge chain and they might have a monopoly on music here in Victoria, but they've never been anything less than A1 perfect. And I mean both the Toronto and Victoria stores. I've been treated so well at both. They call me by name for goodness' sakes. And I only go in like 3 times a year.
Now you gotta give Steve's a little credit because they're right on Queen. Obviously they need to step the security measures up a bit. But aside from the drum dept - I found Steve's employees to be RUDE RUDE RUDE. Not to mention all the hoops they make you jump thru for anything.
I'd have to say L&M's all the way.

Oh man, growing up on a shitty little island just gave me so many of these memories to choose from.
Me and my friend Jason loved to search for frogs when were little. We'd go down to the farmer's fields and search the bogs endlessly. One time we were extra brave and found a way to the other side of the bog. Treasure trove baby. There were like 10 HUGE frogs over there. They started hopping away. I caught one and he started croaking at like full volume!! It freaked me out and I had to let him go.
I still love to watch froggies

Gimme a call when you get here. Still have my digits? I've got some creative chores for you to work on!

Truthfully I don't have alot of fears or phobias..at least that I am aware of anyway.
I work on those big electrical towers ya'll see in fields, alot of stacks in industrial settings(usually changing the flashing warning lights) and occasionally on those narrow red & white communication towers so heights is not a problem. No insect, animal, water, dark, quiet, solitude and for those who know me know needles aren't an issue (having as many tattoos as I have).
But....ask me to get up & say a few words in front of a crowd of people...even people I know and I almost can't or won't do it.This has been a problem all my life,at least as long as I can remember anyway & I was the best man at my brothers & then two other friends weddings.Crazy.
That's really interesting, Esau. It's amazing how people are different. I'd piss my fucking pants if I was up high like that. And I really hate needles with all of me. If someone tried to tattoo me in certain places, I'd likely scream or pass out.
But - I can get on stage and make a fool of myself and I'll never care. I can give speeches or presentations, play totally improvised gigs, even make big mistakes on stage and I don't ever care a bit.
So neat the way people are different.

LOL!
[color:purple]Me too, I'm just gonna smoke a bowl and have a nap first
Don't wait up for me

Damn! That crafty vixen must have moved on! Should we fly to Stockholm, London or Kigali?

For me, it's gotta be heights, spiders, and NEEDLES. Ack! I am terrified of syringes and the ensuing insertion of them in to my body. Yuck!

lol
Bit too far for me
