  1. Do you know what this position paid the last person? Knowing that would give you good ground to figure out how much to ask for. Even if you ask for the same amount, maybe the company could still be saving $$$ on benefits, holidays, etc. You need to take into account not only the extra workload, but also any additional responsibility this could add to your job.

  2. I'm a little late here too, but I have a couple of things to say:

    1. Honestly, I wouldn't go to see a band that I have never heard before by myself. Without booze - yes. Without friends - no. Without drugs - always (I just have no interest in them). I am quite new to this scene, but there is no way that I would be enjoying it as much as I am without being surrounded by friends. To me, it's not all about the music. It's about the crowd too. And 1 without the other just doesn't do it for me. This is why I love to see Nero. They kick my ass with their tunes, and I am amoungst some of the greatest people that I have ever met (if only I could get me mother to a show!)

    2. Too often, I was overwhelmed with information and opinions. It took me about 2 years to truly experience my own opinion. I have read many posts here that offer the advice to introduce the music to newbies and let them experience in their own way. Take that advice people.

    3. I love the music, but I am not a die-hard. This is perhaps why I need both the tunes and the people. Let's not narrow the scene to just the die-hards. There are many people out there that are looking for good times with good tunes and good folks. I understand that it's more interesting to meet others that you can share a conversation with about a particular show, but eventually, these newbies can offer that to you.

In closing, thanks to everyone (bands, fans, friends, venues). I have really enjoyed this summer! [big Grin]

  3. It took me so long last night to write that post! Every key-stroke was so very painful.

I have been listening to GN'R all afternoon! I want to go back tonight!

    Ok, so the band...

I would have liked to see more action from Slash, but Axl was killer! I've got some great pics to put up...coming soon

I have no idea in what order these were played, but these are the songs that I remember from last night:

    - Mr. Brownstone

    - Welcome to the Jungle

    - Use to Love Her

    - Patience

    - Sweet Child O' Mine

    - Don't Cry

    - Civil War (???)

    - You Could Be Mine

    What else was there girls?

Yes, Mrs. H, the guys were not very friendly. I had this one guy that just kept pushing me from behind. I finally just asked him what his fucking problem was. He wouldn't even respond! Finally, I just told him to fuck off and let us enjoy the show. There were some other cheesy lines used, to which I would ever so politely respond to with "You have go to be fucking kidding me. Away. Go away."

    Favorite moment:

Crystal: "This is my friend, Lynn. She's getting married. Can she have a kiss?"

Axl was such a whore for the camera! He was loving it, as was I.

Booche...you have noooooo idea how much I love that camera! She's been soiled now! Dirty, dirty camera!

  4. I had such a wicked time tonght! I met so many incredible people. Aside from a couple of idiots ("Don't touch MY F#@%ING ASS"...Marsha saw that one...I grabbed my free beer and ran.) I was right up front with Axl and Slash...what a rush! I met a really cool girl....Amy. Her friends were a blast...I can't remember their names though! Go figure...

So..the encore...there I am...with my back to the stage and facing Axl (you figure it out!) and all of a sudden, I am surrounded by blond hair! And I feel a warmness on my cheek. And I thought that I was a superstar last weekend!

Aside from a few idiots, the people there were very respectable. I had a wonderful time!

My eyes are burning and my head is spinning... I need to listen to 1 more song and then go to bed.

Booche....I hope that you had as wonderful a night as I did! I miss you, and I wish that you were there tonight with me. Next time???

    Goodnight folks

  5. Sorry to be mixing work & fun, but I'm at the end of my rope here!

    [Frown] Background:

We built a vb app and crystal reports using .NET. We want to deploy this to a client PC running NT. We ran our Windows updates (SP 6a and MDAC 2.6 sp2 and Jet 4.0 SP6) and installed the .NET framework on the client PC.

The vb app runs fine. However, when I try to run the reports, I get an error: "error in formula @formulaname." The only source of this problem that I could find had to do with an old version of the Crystal Reports Print Engine (crpe32.dll) The suggested fix was to replace the old dll with version 8.5.0.217.

When I try to register this dll, I get yet another error: ". DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version may be in memory. Consider using Pview to detect and remove it."

I am unable to detect it, and therefore, cannot remove it!!! (and yes, I have rebooted!)

So I continue searching online, and I find that this error may be caused by conflicting versions of comcat.dll and ole32.dll. (Comcat.dll version 5.0 works with Ole32.dll version 4.71 and later. Comcat.dll version 4.71 works with Ole32.dll version 4.0. ) So I check these dll's and they seem fine: comcat.dll v.4.71 and ole32.dll v.4.0. [Confused]

All of this is pretty new to me, so I'm hoping that someone out there can steer me in some sort of a direction (the right one is preferred!).

    Thanks in advance!

    Lynn

  6. HEALER

    (Submissive Extrovert Concrete Feeler )

Like just 9% of the population you are a HEALER (SECF)-- caring, good with people, and patient. You are completely selfless and full of love. As a concrete feeler, you do well with your emotions, which are very strong. You understand and appreciate *why* you feel the way you do, and for the most part you're at peace with yourself. [smile]

Suffering in the world really pisses you off. [Mad]

In relationships, it's easy for you to get hurt. Avoid all kinds of dominant (D***) people, *especially* in dating or marriage. You are a motherly figure, even if you're a guy. If you're a girl, make sure you're a mom some day. The world's children need people like you. [big Grin] If you're a guy, don't even think about it. Most pedophiles are HEALERS.

On the rare occasions when you try to assert yourself, you're cute and awkward, but highly effective. [Wink]

***Glad I'm not a guy!!!*** [Razz]

  7. 1. Nissan Micra (my friends actually PICKED IT UP and moved it on me....all the time! Piece of shit car...I've got a piece of shit car! )

    2. 96 Honda Prelude. She was my baby. I smashed her up good though and lost her [Frown] She was incredible though. I loved her...*sniff, sniff*

    3. 95 Honda Prelude!!! I tried to replace my first born! She wasn't as good though...but probably mostly my fault since I was broke and couldn't afford to fix her (other than some duct tape and drip trays!!!) Hondas are wonderful. They're expensive to fix (as are all imports), but they are well built and are a great ride.

    4. Chevy Lumina. F#@*ing engine. That's all I have to say.

  8. So Booche decides to pull out some of my old cd's....and SHA-BLAM!!! Out comes Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking! I can't believe that I haven't listened to this album for yeeeeaaars! It's incredible! [Eek!]

We were also listening to the soundtrack from Romeo and Juliet, and I was pleasantly entertained by Radiohead! Dems my guys!

I can't believe it's only Thursday night! I have a loooonnnngggg weekend ahead of me! [Razz]

  9. "WHAT IN THE F!*@ ARE YOU GUYS TALKIN' 'BOUT ANYWAY??? I know you think I'm dumb cuz I didn't get my grade 10, and Julian can kiss my ass cuz he already got his grade 10. But I'm gonna get it, ya know. And then I can talk to yous guys more, cuz then I'll understand all these big words and stuff."
