    And sloth, that's funny.

  2. I wasnt able to read everyones post so maybe this has been said, but if it was me...

I'd just start sticking it in casually here and there until it starts being normal.

Like at the end of phone conversations. "Ok bye bye luv ya!"

so it's not the big ominous statement and there is no expectations of it being said back right away. This gives them a chance to work up to it.

  3. Ya Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dollz

    Some write ups:

The Big John Bates live show tends to become an event in areas the group has played through. The word that spreads across the internet and mouth to mouth is "Entertainment". Not just a great band with excellent performers and instrumentalists, couple that with the Voodoo Dollz - riveting burlesque choreographed to John's vision of our pre-millennium culture and filtered through his pulp fiction-style lyrics. This has lead BJB to be featured in coffee table books such as "Burlesque - The New Bump and Grind" from Speck Press in the USA and in L.A.'s fetish-oriented "Nugget Magazine".

BJB & the Dollz have played shows and festivals from London to Zurich and from Montreal to Los Angeles. Some wilder performances have seen the band at a federal prison in Antwerp, Belgium, at the 10th Annual "Psychomeeting" in Barcelona, Spain and headlining a Halloween show at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. 2004 saw their first Scandinavian and fourth European tour, and BJB got full support of the Norwegian press and rock'n'roll scene.

Big John was interviewed this summer in L.A. for the A&E / Discovery documentary on Russ Meyer (which also included John Waters, Dita Von Teese and other personalities) and the group will be featured in an upcoming issue of Bizarre Magazine. BJB has made fans of many other performers and they're staying on the road, making converts around the world.

  4. hey meggo - where did he get those orange ones? haha...

I have no idea why she doesnt want converse - but the confusion was my fault cuz in the original post i figured we might convince her jsut to get what we can find if we could find extra cool ones...

other problem is she likes the punky brewster look - in the past my sister has always found cheap hightops and bought 2 different colours to make 2 pairs.

    Don't forget she's still 11

So 2 pairs of converse would be very expensive indeed.

Thanks for the advice though, we'll be out and about on Saturday looking

  5. Ok so that 11 year old neice of mine who loves Queen also loves high top runnign shoes. However, they CAN NOT be converse. Why? I have no frickin' idea -she's young i'm old, i dont understand her. ;)

Anyhoo... Does anyone have ANY IDEA where to get high tops in Ottawa that aren't converse?

or if you don't - do you know the best spots to find extra cool converse?
