Booche. You should have wrote: " A singe punch was not landed by either pussycat " rather than " participant ". It would have been a lot more appropriate.

Without facial hair, Alfredsson is a dead ringer for Buffy, Family Guy and Ausin Powers star: Seth Green.

Hire a legion of hit-men to knock-off my least favourite personalities: Mickey Hart; Jeff Martin from The Tea Party; Edwin; Nelly Furtado; Gwen Steffani; Raine from Our Lady Peace; Toronto newspaper hockey writers; Air Farce ( they used to be good on radio ); Ottawa Senators' sweethearts - there are at least 7 of these guys; Boy bands ( of course ). I won't go on.

I should mention that Macy Garay is talented and not at all obnoxious. She just seems out of it all the time. It turns me off. Sorry Ms. Huxtable. I knew that when I mentioned the reason " why " I didn't find Pink attractive, it would have some consequences.

Anything by Sonic Youth.

All the songs off " Who's Next " and most of them from " Odds & Sodds " were part of Townshend's failed conceptual album: Lifefhouse. I think you know this AD. A great lost Who song like " Mary " was accidently destroyed in a fire - it would have been a great Who's Next classic. Instead, you can find a demo version on Townshend's "Scoop" album. Highly recommended.

I've saw Pearl Jam do " Baba " live in 1992. They did a nice job. Van Halen does a fair version also, with Eddie mimicking Townshend's synth on his guitar. Pretty impressive, from an impressive guitarist.

Hey AD. Buy and/or watch: " The Making of Who's Next " video/DVD: Who's Next. It's also part of the Classic Albums program on VH1 and MuchMoreMusic. You ask: " ...why the melody is the way it is "? I think you'd have to ask Townshend for that answer. I know it's part of a longer piece - I know that he looped the original synth recording. You can see Townshend on: " The Making of Who's Next " playing the same synth and listening to the original master demo tapes. It's a great documentary of one of the finest albums of them all.

It's done with a synth. Townshend lifted the synth beginning from his own demo and used it to create The Who's: " Baba O'Reilly " - you can hear various versions of " Baba " on on Townshend's " Psychoderelict " album - listed as " Meher Baba M3 ", " M4 " and " M5 ". Note: the beginnings of " Won't Get Fooled Again " and " Bargain " are done the same way - using Townshend-sampled synth recordings.

She's not as obnoxious as Gwen Steffani, but she's in the ballpark. She looks way too stoned for me to find sexy. Stoned-looking girls are a real turn-off for me - ie: Macy Gray.

I hope Billy had a Mickey-free day!

I hope this episode has a few laughs.

And I was hoping The Simpsons story was true.

Check out the Classic Albums program tonight on MuchMoreMusic. It's fucking great. With an album like that, how could it not be?

I thought Theryl kept interest going at the last Galactic show at the Opera House in Toronto - due to the early flat first part of Set #1; and the terrible sound. I'm not his biggest fan, but at least he brought to that particular show some energy ( that was clearly lacking in parts of Set #1 ).

Ottawa? What for?

Juke Joint this Wednesday is a must. This band is one of the best bands in Toronto - and certainly one of the best groups to play on a Wednesday at the Zone in a long time.
-
Sorry Mike. It was an Andre/Barrett/Pete deal.

It wouldn't be the first time that the trio of Bouchard/Bouchard and Davey Boy has been accused of taking off on someone.

Warren Haynes is not a permanent member of the band. He is co-producing, co-writing and performing ( on some tracks ) for the ABB's new studio album. Look for Jimmy Herring on guitar with Derek Trucks on some of the tour dates. I'm still really disappointed about the Dickie Betts fiasco. I have Dickie's new cd and it's great: sounds like a sequel to the Allman's " Brothers and Sisters ". If you can find the cd, buy it!
The Band revisited and Blues Traveler to play London, ON

I can't believe London is getting Mick Taylor. He's as good a white blues guitarist as there's ever been. The Stones have never been the same without him - although Some Girls is a great album. I'm not the biggest fan of Jeff Healey's cheesy blues-rock, but his jazz band is quite good. Jeff plays trumpet along with guitar in The Jazz Wizards. He's really a fine jazz guitarist - no flash, only substance and taste. Check both these guys out.
