Ottawa's game-plan worked to perfection. Not only did they bore the Leafs to a victory, but they bored all the real hockey fans too. I'm not a Leafs fan, but I'd take the Isles-Leafs series over Leafs-Sens any day. At least there was emotion and body-checking in the Isles series.

I love it. Different than Phish, but not so much so. Nicolas Payton and Trey really rip it up on Last Tube. A great summer album - just like Farmhouse was 2 years ago. Now bring on Gov't Mule's Deep End Vol. 2, the new PLQ and Allman Brothers' studio releases. The summer music scene hasn't looked this good in a long time... especially since learning that Creed were forced to cancel their summer tour after being in an " unfortunate " car accident.

I can't wait for exciting Sens trap hockey. That Philly series was a boring disgrace. Get ready Leaf fans for an onslaught of carved-out eyes and lost teeth from those visor-wearing Senator sweethearts.

I always thought Jerry's ties were " flaky " cool.
Mark Ribot is a great avant-garde guitarist. Ribot, with John Lurie's the Jazz Messengers, are a great, underrated band. John Zorn is whacked in a good way. Lucky you.

My first car was a red 1967 Beaumont ( mint condition ), which I shared with my father - I drove it in high school in the mid 80's. Then, I inherited a white, 1986 Mazda 626 in 1996 from my dad. Now I drive a silver 2000 Mazda Protege with a Phish sticker in my back windshield. Zoom Zoom Zoom.

No one at the Comfort Zone ever goes on before 10, but I'm going to be arriving late - I don't want to hear my token Peaches En Regalia.
-
What time are you hitting the stage at the Comfort Zone Friday night?

Hey Wilson, my comments were not directed at Delta residents like yourself.

I'll see you there Punk.

Consider the source: Mickey Hart.

My favourite game as a child was beating up Irish and Scottish and Newfoundland immigrants.

Thanks for the post Andre. Let's see how many are interested in supporting the purest, most honest form of music there is. Big Bill is also playing the Horseshoe in Toronto very soon. I'll be there.

Next Tuesday, April 30th at a store near you.

I phoned in sick Wednesday ( to go to the Raptor's game - when they clinched a playoff birth against Cleveland ), then I was off for my usual 4 days starting last Thursday.
I guess the former AIC frontman was dead for 2 weeks before one of his relatives found him.

I asked Booche: " What's a 420 " at the Comfort Zone during the Caution Jam's set. I'm glad I didn't know.

It's like what Neil sang: "...every junky's like a setting sun...". This death should surprise no one.

Mike and Jeff were the real highlight Saturday night. I like the Caution Jam, but I loved hearing good original tunes ala Jeff and Mike.

Hey Passed Out Guy and Treyter. Are you boys going to the Comfort Zone and/or Silver Dollar Wednesday? I'm off... that is, I'm phoning in sick tomorrow. Let me know.

I've watched around 10 " Life With The Osbournes " episodes. This show is damned funny. The strangest revelation about the show is that Ozzy and Sharon are pretty good parents ( apart from the profanity ).

I voted for Reba.

I made Tie Domi angry with me. I made Bjork hold the elevator for me.

Just looking at Diana Krall's arrogant/smug face made me violently ill. She's the Kenny G of vocal jazz, although Kenny writes his own songs. Amanda Marshall and Nelly Furtado competed well with Diana Krall in the " Most Obnoxious " category. How long could Creed... I mean Nickleback stretch-out their god-awful/boring song anyway?

I can't believe London is getting Mick Taylor. He's as good a white blues guitarist as there's ever been. The Stones have never been the same without him - although Some Girls is a great album. I'm not the biggest fan of Jeff Healey's cheesy blues-rock, but his jazz band is quite good. Jeff plays trumpet along with guitar in The Jazz Wizards. He's really a fine jazz guitarist - no flash, only substance and taste. Check both these guys out.

Hey Sloth,
I'm only stating that the Sens play a numbingly boring brand of hockey. The trap is like watching a counter-punch boxer run for 12 rounds without getting hit. I watched the Sens-Philly series and was bored to tears. The Sens are not the only trap-boring team in the NHL, but they may be the most boring in the Eastern Conference.
