  1. In case you don't know, I live in michigan. Does anybody know how i might get some advance tickets for this weekend at the $65 price. can i buy or reserve them online somehow?

I've emailed Mark, but i figured I'd try asking here too, in case he doesn't check his email very often.

  2. on sept 29th (friday), Moe. is opening for the Who at the Palace in detroit and then that sunday, oct. 1st, SCI is playing in ann arbor. and paul simon's playing at the Fox theater on oct. 17th.

october's gonna be a good month for music in the detroit area!!!!!

  3. My purse didn't pass security this summer. So I had to wait until they went through it and that they did.It was a fingernail file so I said I don't want to deal with this again so throw it in the garbage. They put it back in my purse as I didn't have to have another security check.

Better to be safe than sorry though.

last spring, after i got home from a ski trip in lake tahoe , i realized that I, inadvertently, flew home the whole way with a swiss army knife in my purse. i went threw the security check points about 6 times, at 2 different airports, because i had to go outside to smoke, and nobody once said a thing. i thought about writing the national transportation safety board (NTSB) about how i got it the knife threw, unknowingly of course, but figured i'd get in trouble for bringing the knife aboard, even though i didn't mean to do any harm with it and forgot it was even there.

does it really make a difference if you check your liqiud luggage; is it harder to detontate liqiud explosives in the luggage compartment then if it is stored "[color:purple]safely under your seat, [color:purple]that can also be used floatation device?"

  4. If detroit was on the west coast it could be "the other armpit of America" or the "Asshole of San Francisco"

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!! i fucking love it!

birdy, if you change your mind about the petty/trey show, lemme know so we can meet up. i heard a rumor that claypool might show up, but i don't know if the source was at all reliable.

  5. To deter squirrels from buildings -

    rags soaked in ammonia

socks filled with mothballs (be careful with children/pets**)

    cayenne pepper squirrel repellent

    Recipe for squirrel repellent:-

    1) 1 bottle (small) hot pepper sauce

    2) 1 gallon water

    3) water retentative (available from plant nursery) or 1 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent such as dishwashing detergent.

Spray this repellent on plants or anything you would like protected from chewing. Many commercial products designed to repel rodents are not effective. In fact, some say the animals actually eat more of the plants after the repellent is applied.

**Please remember that mothballs are toxic when ingested. Children's curiosity and bird's lack of smell can increase their chances of ingesting mothballs. Children and birds should not have access to the mothball filled socks.

Gardeners can make their own repellent by placing a handful of hot peppers in a large container and adding a quart of boiling water. Allow the peppers to soak overnight. Strain the peppers from the water and add a few drops of mild dish detergent to make a spray to protect the plants.

found the info on this site

here's a Link to a irrevelant, but nonetheless, interesting squirrel site, too.
