The show has been off the air for 14 years' date=' it's spoil date has passed . By the way, Rosebud is the sled.[/quote']
I guess. But some people here were still watching Romper Room when it was on and may not know. Maybe it's just me, but I hate it when the ending gets spoiled.
Sorry, Kev. I wasn't thinking.

[color:purple]I've never seen The Sixth Sense ... can you spoil it for me?
The show has been off the air for 14 years, it's spoil date has passed . By the way, Rosebud is the sled.

Removed for the sake of anyone who hasn't seen the post already by an idiot who doesn't know how to do spoilers.

I saw them in Copenhagen this past summer, and thought that it was a great show. George came on after the first song, which was I think Cosmic Slop. It’s definitely not a “George Clinton show.†It’s more about the band. I think there were like 15-20 people on stage at times. And some real good singers as mentioned. George seemed in fine form. His grand-daughter came out to sing a song. All in all, it was lots of fun. They came out on time (just after 10PM) and everyone seemed to have a good time.
(The show was part of the Copenhagen Jazz Fest, and was performed outdoors at Tivoli Park. It was technically free, but you have to pay to get into the park.)
That's the thing ... since when has Clinton ever been the most interesting thing about a P-Funk show? It's like going to the circus and complaining you don't see enough of the ringmaster
As I said, when I saw them it was hella fun, although granted other shows I've seen on DVD or heard have been more packed with musical highlights.

I saw them live and dug them fine ... maybe not at the level of the classic lineups, but still a lot of fun.

don't laugh, but Tom Jones puts on one of the best live shows I have ever seen! this is not a joke! even though I laughed at the idea of going when my mom offered me the ticket I am soo glad I went! He is obviously a veteran to the stage and a man that can afford a kick ass band. If you ever get a chance this is something I think all self proclaimed music lovers should see.
On the other hand I was not so impressed with the tool show I saw in the summer.
You should check out the installment in the MArtin Scorcese Blues documentary dedicated to the British blues boom (directed by Mike Figgis I believe) ... Tom Jones jams on old blues tunes along with Jeff Beck, Van Morrison and others and his singing just kills.

misunderestimated
Nobody with more than half a working brain would ever say that ...

My favorite line from the first season is still : "This is even worse than the time we did that Gilber & Sullivan sketch."
(You would need to have wasted your time watching the first few episodes of Studio 60 like I did to get that joke.)

Another non-word that annoys me ... "disorientated".
-
And the one that keeps cropping up on C-Span and said by the head of state of our friends to the south ... "nucular".
believe it or not' date=' that's actually not an incorrect pronunciation. a lot of professors and researchers with phd's say it that way and its not at all uncommon within the scientific community. its said to flow from words like molecular.
[/quote']
Except is doesn't flow from the word "molecular" , which derives from "molecule". It derives from "nucleus", not "nuculus".

"Youse". Also people who spell the word "masterbate". And people who say "justify" when they mean "rationalize".

Devon is a friend of mine, hope he and everyone else are alright.

#327 - Six Degrees of Separation
Connect your pick to the one above you in six steps or less, via sit-ins, guest appearances, shared bills, or any other reasonable connection. Map out the ongoing steps (for the whole theme) at the bottom. Let's see how far we can get (meaning let's not take the easy route and connect everyone to the Dead via covers they played).
1. Parliament - Mothership Connection
2. Fat Cats - Soldier's Home
3. Caution Jam - Too Sweet
4. Alvin & the Chipmunks - Time Warp
5. Jerry Lee Lewis - Great Balls Of Fire

Jerry Lee Lewis was a part of the Million Dollar Quartet with Elvis Presley. Elvis recorded Tomorrow Is a Long Time by Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan wrote Seven Days for Ron Wood. Ron Wood played on I'm Losing You for Rod Stewart.

Bets on this being a thread killer?
i have a feeling this one will be completed quickly. we seem to be better with very specific themes than with wide-open ones. the "pick a song' date=' any song" sorta ones seem to challenge us.

Remind me never to underestimate you guys again.

Hang on... isn't August And Everything After the name of the album' date=' not the name of a song?[/quote']
You're right.

Aloha,
Brad
Checked using the same source, and it is the name of a song that is on the b-side of the She Don't Want Nobody Near single, so it is an actual song name.

321: Songs with months of the year in the title, in calendar order
Special rules : 1) You can pick any month that hasn't already been used, so long as you put it in the right spot. In other words, the next pick doesn't have to be February, but if the next pick is June, it has to be put in at spot #6
2) If the title has a word that is the same as a month but isn't being used as a month in the title's context (eg. May, March, etc.), it is allowable
