I don't know about whether they are unknown or not, but I don't hear enough about Ulu, a cool sort of Jazz/Funk jamband from the states.

Well, with my wife it generally depends on the band ... she likes the Allmans, just tolerates the Dead (she is a former professional singer, so she finds it hard to deal with their somewhat, errr, loose singing style ) , enjoys Gov't Mule and Phish whenever I play them for her (although she only has just gotten out of asking "Who is this?" every time I play Phish for her) and loves the New Deal.

I guess it didn't help that Paul Schafer was making an ass out of himself beforehand.
How is this any different from how Paul Schafer normally behaves?

Am I the only one who has "Have A Patrick Swayze Christmas" going through his head now?

Anyone remeber that song?
Ummmm, Franky Valli?
I just wanted to add that I was highly impressed by the band changeover ... that would have been especially tricky, even on a bigger stage than at Cafe Dekcuf ... also I have to confess, Bob Dylan Project stumped me on a couple of songs, I guess that comes with not having everything he put out

Well, I was there and had a great time ... unfortunately I don't have the endurance I had as a youth so I had to check out during Highway Freeker's second set (well , technically their first set) but they were highly awesome, as were Dr. Huxtable and I did manage to last until quarter to 2 or thereabouts. Thanks to all of the nice folks I met and hung out with last night, especially the cool people from Dr. Huxtable (and Blue Grassy High) whose individual names vanished from my head the moment I woke up this morning it was through them I found this forum.
I hope this isn't an inappropriate request, but I noticed folk taping last night's show, and would love to trade for a CDR of the gig ... the link to my list is in my profile, if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

This is a damned shame. RIP, Joe, you were one of the good ones.
