Attempt to book some opening spots for bands that you feel are in the same ballpark as your band. Also find the spots that these bands play at and get gigs there. Be prepared to make relatively nothing for awhile. Just try to play to as many people as you can and it will eventually start to pay off.

Whatever. Do you really think that some Collingwood wannabe 'lose yer shoes' singer/songwriter hack is going to write something that rivals Stevie Wonder or Jimi Hendrix.
I do realize that you apologized for this, but I don't think that, nor did I say I thought that was the case. Impossible? No. Really I would like to see more bands playing more originals and less cliched covers.
Again, I do think the lawsuit is ridiculous..........
Just out of curiousity what was the "lose yer shoes" comment all about??

Ahhhhh, imagine a world where cover songs are not allowed and bands have no choice but to write their own tunes. I would love that. No more "Mustang Sally" at the bar. Alot of working musicians who think the are gods gift to music would suddenly have to actually write their own songs!!
(I do however find the lawsuit absolutely ridiculous)

I managed to attach the top and back to my acoustic guitar i'm making, fixed the wiring on my les paul and fixed the wiring on one of my students SG. I quit smoking yesterday morning, coldturkey and i gotta say I got a lot done today.

Just ordered tickets for the Toronto show. I've been dying to see him play for a long time. Thanks for the heads up.........

Anybody have a chance to hear the tapes from the show yet? I can't wait to relive this one.

I didn't know they ever released it on DVD. I wouldn't mind it myself!

^^^^^Nevermind!!!^^^^
The lights were wicked (and the music!). I haven't seen a light show that good since my last Phish show. Was it Kuroda on lights? It sure seemed like it to me.

Anybody heard of these guys before? It's the keyboardist & my good friend (Ian Lamont) and the vocalist (Chris Berry) from slow nerve and Bass player (Stephane Fortin) from Blue Quarter and Drew Vendetti on drums. Check out their myspace to hear a few tunes @

I've got a friend who really wants a couple Slip shows. Does anybody know any decent spots to find and download any? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They should get a life and have the balls to pick up people their own age. Repulsive........

Theres only 12 notes. I'm pretty sure every possible combination has been played, plus the choruses and vocal melody are all different. How many songs contain Am-G-Dm-Am??

He should be tied to a pole and pelted with stones by the local towns people until he is a bloody heap of mush and thats still not harsh enough in my opinion.

Don't know if this has been posted before. It's pretty amusing. You pick a clip and then add your own subtitles

Kick ass. Also the vocalist and keyboard player are from the late band "Slow Nerve Action". They'll be in my neck of the woods on Nov. 14th. Can't wait.
