Its funny how the whole Bob/Phil thing seperates people. Personally I like them both, but Phil is the more righteous one in my opinion and seems to be carrying on the Dead philosophy more than anyone else. I prefer his Jams better too, but thats just me.

What kind of guitars are you making? looks can be deceiving.

Well this guitar and my last are both dreadnoughts. The body shape and the headstock shape are both original and the necks are based off of other guitars I have. The headstock veneer on my newest and the binding around the body are Hawiaan Koa. The rest is fairly standard in comparison to a Martin etc. Spruce top, Walnut back and sides and 1 piece mahogany neck. My next will be Bearclaw spruce and Bubinga back and sides.

I'm finding it directionless and generally lacking in ideas. I don't really want to hear these guys do 'beautiful' I guess. A Go-Go means a lot to me and this doesn't touch it.

Unfortunately I agree. In my opinion this album couldn't have taken more than an afternoon to record. It wouldn't hurt to play in key for a few bars. I mean I love tension but if thats all there is I get bored. That being said MMW and Scofield are some of the most talented musicians there is. I would go out of my way to see them live though, too bad theres no canadian dates.
