I was there on the Saturday. Must have missed them. That was a cool festival with a lot of really positive vibes, great music and great people. I can't imagine sueing for being a part of it (if that's the case). Maybe that's just me though.

Getting pretty pumped. Been listening to the SBD's of this whole leg so far and they're sounding killer. According to the weather network there's 0% chance of precipitaion Thursday in Batavia and there'll be cloudy periods 27 degrees. Sweet!!

I don't listen to hip-hop but if I did it would be "The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride to The Pharcyde" or super old Snoop but that's just me.

It chews me up that planning for concerts in advance always fucks you over when they release the cheap good seats at the last minute all the time. I'm happy with my lawns as long as the weather is good but still....

The Real Ginger Prince - CollectorWhen the first wave of Star Wars "Early Bird" action figure sets began arriving on the market in 1978, the original Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker figures came with a telescoping lightsaber accessory. The small plastic weapon of the Jedi Knight would rise out from the hollow arm of each figure, then a thinner piece would further rise out. My first show as well. I remember trying to get out of an EI meeting because I thought I might be late for the show. The lady at Human Resources however was very hard to convince that I had an extremely important wedding to attend on a Tuesday afternoon. Made the show but missed the first 2 songs.

EDIT: Also, one of my favourite memories from the show was an ultra low note that Mike hit during What's The Use that literally blew me back like a 100mph wind.

Every good vibe I can muster is headed his way. His bass playing and the Beastie Boys' music has been one of my biggest and oldest influences.

Ordered my tix yesterday. Can't wait.
