The Ottawa Citizen has an article about The Juno Awards' jazz nominees for 2015, including a comment about the "album of year" category from Darcy James Argue, about a Lenny Breau album: "I mean no disrespect to the memory of the great Lenny Breau, but a live bootleg recorded 30 years ago should not be eligible for Jazz Album of the Year — that’s absurd. The Grammys require nominated records to have been recorded within the previous three years, I believe, and I’d really recommend that the Junos adopt a similar policy. The Breau record could be eligible for a “Best Historic Recording” category if CARAS decides to add one, but including an archival recording in a category designed to honor the best album of the past year does a real disservice to working jazz artists."
