  1. So what a nice trip that was. I've got to say my thank you's first before i forget. Thank you Canned Beats and FairySari for the too cool ride up. That was the most pleasant longish car ride I've had in a buttfuck of a long time. Despite the traffic our arrival was timed perfectly and what a nice parking spot. Thanks to the slip for treating me to a nice show, and the crowd for making it right for us all. What a nice venue. Thanks to the Hotel man for being on our side (I guess) and not calling the po-lice on us. Thanks to karma for working such a fun night for me into it's plan. a big HUGE thanks go to weirdness and groovefetish for so many things. The drive back was awesome and you guys made me see Montreal without all of my prejudices. it's a wonderfully vibrant city and i loved every minute of marching around it's streets with you guys, sorry if I wasn't very chatty, there was just so much to take in. And your turkey bags were good too. Pete, you are car driver extrordinaire. You put the fear in me with your on ramp skills (which is good because you need to feel fear to appreciate what you've got) and the miraculous extraction of my car from the parking spot from hell at sari's house.

So at the show I was enjoying it all, the venue, the people, the music. I started at the back of the crowd and worked my way up to the stage. It wasn't 100% dance-able all of the time, but the whole experience grew on me the way killer bud will creep in on you after awhile. They played what felt like a slightly longer than normal set, but back in reality it was actually a long one. It's rare that I don't want a show to end to get to the afterparty, but I just didn't want them to quit. Even after the 2nd encore i was just screaming my head off for more. I even got mr. stand completely still in the 2nd row the whole night to let loose and give a woo hoo or two. The simplicity of their visual show adds to the music, and made me realize that all of my senses don't have to be receiving input to make the experience 100%. Didn't really get to talk to Andrew, but Brad and Mark are really nice and their friends were fun to party with.

the entire trip was the oppsite of what I was expecting from start to finish and I had a blast the whole way.

  2. this weekend at CTMF Dave from waterloo was my neighbour. he conveniently told me to watch out for "them sam-squatches" he's the president of the waterloo fan club for trailer park boys. like 400 members. he's holding some luncheon with sarah and lucy and told me i could have vip access...woo hoo i wish trinity was there so i could watch her smoke.....or it could have been the mushrooms talking for him...you never can tell with these type of folk.

  3. Yeah I'll be in Guelph tonight woooo. Can't friggin wait. I've still got some party left overs from the weekend that could be put to good use. I've already warned Mike about the wild and crazy party that is Guelph.

Chase joo can have a ride to the hammer no prob. Everyone should see this guy as much as possible.

  4. I don't want to put any bad vibes out for this weekend, but it really sucks bottom that That1Guy is finishing at 9. I was hoping to see him in the dark. I guess I can just close my eyes.

I had also forgotten about the early shutdown of the stages. I don't mean to bitch and complain, so please don't read it that way. Everyone involved in the festival works very hard, and izzy's is a nice venue. Given that, are there plans to hold CTMF at a different facility in the future? One where noise is not going to be a problem for other campers? I was there in September, and I had a good time. But it's definitely different. Nothing will ever be the same as Ghosttown, but it would be nice to party where everyone that's there is on the same page.

Bring on the nero covers (BTW, nero in Hamilton tonight, yey!)

Mark - dogs are cool at izzy's right? Darius is itchin for some Campin and my friend's coming with her dog. she was there last sept and we both had the dogs and it was cool. I just wanted to double check.

  5. Ahh I knew there would be at least one person. it's funny how seriously people can take this stuff. It was jokes all around, no worries. None of that player hating...you need a player for that first, right?

That's why I shouldn't be left alone on a Saturday morning with nothing more to amuse me than a computer and Friday nights left over party favours. Right after that, I gave my dog a hair cut. Poor Darius.

  6. I'll agree that this is a damn nice thread, and I'll take a stab it. Come on, everyone join in. When will this opportunity come again?

    Confessions of the True Me

Like a porcupine's bristles protect it's soft underbelly, my personality and antics protect what is the true me. It's the classic diversion tactic. While it's so transparently obvious, those that are angered in life and have a chip on their shoulder take offence (they're also too stupid to see through my masquerade). I'm only too happy to come back on the offensive because I've got to keep up the asshole image and because as we all know life is one big psycho-social experiment with a purpose and hypothesis that only I know, and I will ultimately decide when the conclusions can be made and when they are I will retreat into my drug and alcohol induced nether world. You are all pawns in my game. i will ignore the grammatical rules, because didn't you know? I play by my own rules, boyeeee, and I will have run on sentences and switch from first to third person with no abandon. I will show the eclectic me by dropping bits of info from every genre possible, without realising i'm doing the same things I verbally bitch-slap those name-dropping try-hards that are just trying to follow the written style that is simply "kung". I will do and say all that I feel necessary while demoralising others for doing the same thing, because I was getting double fisted by Brad and Andrew while reading the page of the dictionary that had hypocrite on it and lost my concentration.

I'm a writer, I swear. I have so much to write, that i don't really have time to research things properly. But i'm really a writer. and I don't devote enough attention to my projects, but i'm a writer, really. I don't have time to edit, fact check or even proof read something once. but I'm a writer, really. And I don't look like harry potter. I don't! Really! I am too mature for my age! Really! I'm not an 8 year old screaming to be let out in this pseudo adult world I've called home since age 15. Really I'm not! That was the best thing I've ever written! Really! That was better than masturbating with lube. Really! I don't try to suck the proverbial dick of anyone who can advance me further in this game called life. Really I don't! I will take 1 writing course while in University. Really I will! I won't whine about having to work, having school, having no money, a girfriend, writing projects or any other excuse I come up with to not have to stay at the after party so people can see what type of "hardcore" guy I am. Really! Well, maybe I'll take that last one back.

  7. cyberhippie - no need to worry about oil. The future is hydrogen fuel cells. They are already in existence, but they're too expensive to be used in everyday vehicles. The people that invest now in that technology and making it accessable, will be richer than the people who invested in automobiles and oil 90 years ago.

I just read an article today that said researches in the UK had been experimenting with stem cell research and using that technology to re-grow teeth. They successfully grew teeth in adult mice that had lost their original set of "adult" teeth. Human experiments should start in 2-3 years.

Kung - do you have a recommended reading list for dr. future?

  8. I run a self-storage business and a trailer rental business, also a storage deal. It's good because I sit at a desk, in an office but I'm out running errands and in a warehouse and other stuff. I have downtime so I waste it here, and in extreme emergencies, I can sleep on the floor of the office...like this morning.

Drums and Tuba kicked serious ass last night. And the first band, I really can't remember the name, but the guys with the hoods, they were cool too....they lost a bit of the mystique when I saw them taking their gear out...but it was still fun

  9. When you pop the blank in, a little window should come up and ask you which program, finder, itunes, something else i can't remember. If that doesn't happen(which sometimes it doesn't if you've using poopy quality discs) then restart the computer, if it still doesn't work, then use a different disk.

That should be the only problem you have with your mac, they're awesome, don't listen to the masses
