I actually just got finished reading Tasha's little quote from him. "We're only on this earth to fart around, don't let anyone tell you different" or something to that extent. It's from Timequake. What's that quote from?

I've heard similar rumours floating around. since i'm supposed to be doing promo for this around here, i'll be giving them an email today to see if they've got shit figured out. If this is cancelled, i'm heading to OM!

Well Happy birthday fellow cancer! (My bday is July 3)
I can't believe you're going to be 40! is it all the groove-a-liciousness that is Mark Tonin dancing that keeps you looking so young? whatever it is you should try to bottle it. You'd make a killing.

Yes yes, the day was fun. a fun end to a super fun weekend. Everyone's really captured most of what I wanted to say already. Really cool to see the americanos diggin the nero. Nice to meet some people from Ontario that I hadn't before. Oh yeah and the balloons were great. Even better was when I saw the guy that had been selling them after the show. I said "hey, what's the “deal” with 3/$10 5/$20?"
So I was disappointed with Galactic. The chick singer didn't get me off the way I had hoped and wasn't a comparison to the houseman for me. Stanton Moore did impress me though. He's cool. Xavier Rudd was definitely a show. Tribal music is always so fascinating. And moe. I loved the moe. I think i was chatting a bit too much to notice the first set, but I really liked the second. A lot of people said they didn't, but I found this nice little patch of grass/flat concrete and danced. I spun around and around and around, the music was just so pleasurable.
Even though the water stank like fish all night, I'd still go back. And I did see the guy you speak of moe.ron he WAS interesting, my favourite character was the skinny kid in the tiedie (sp?) shirt skipping around the show for about 5 or 6 hours non-stop.

Izzy is not very dog friendly. Apparently he was sued last year because someone's pit bull attacked and bit a lady while camping there. I got a very stern talking to when i had my 9 lb lap dog with me, so size apparently DOESN'T matter. You'll have to keep the dog on leash at all times. The dance area isn't really condusive to having a dog there, so you end up leaving them in the tent. My dog clawed a hole in the tent and was running around with his black and white self looking all skunky so no one would go near him. A friend found him and brought him to me, and i didn't even know he was gone. In the car for him, thankfully, he still likes the car.
Just wanted to be candid so you know what you're getting into. I love my dog to death, and I like him to be by my side all the time, but if you plan on getting incapacitated, or spending 4-5 hours away from your campsite, then leave the dog with a friend or with a kennel/vet in the area.

Yes, it was a nice show last night. It's been a good two days of nero. Their new song sounds like it's going to be another fave. It's still being worked out, and it's nice to hear things in the beginning stages for comparison later on. It was nice to see nero downstairs, even if it means tighter security. There's a bit more space to dance down there. Thanks to Kev-o for the hospitality and big hugs to Caroline for the floor space. It's always nice to spend some quality time with you C. It was nice to see PoG and PoGette, both Scotts, Karl and Damien and some new kids rockin to nero in Peterborough. That city never disappoints.

Happy Birthday Heather! I've missed you and all of the wonderfulness that is you so much these past months. However, I'm very happy that you're doing what you are with your time. Come to Adirondack at the end of the month. There's always a spot for you in mah car.

what are they going to do when people walking outside on the street complain that it's too smokey there?
in TO it was certain designated smoking areas in the bar/restaurant to allow for smoking. now the only way to do it is with a sepertely ventilated room, and even those will be phased out in 3 years with no compensation for the expense the owner/operator has already incurred while building these things they didn't know would have an expiry date. sorry, had a conversation about it with a friend who manages a busy downtown bar with one of these rooms. and they'll segregate the crowds in the bar as well.
it's a hard debate, why should smokers be made to feel like scond class citizens, being herded into rooms, all by themselves, or get out onto the street away from the rest of us, but non-smokers shouldn't be forced to breathe the smoke....who's got my heady answer?
-
wow dima, i'm glad to see you made it back in one piece and still have a good time to show for it.
-
yeah toronto's start tonight at midnight. at least y'all got a cool bar in hamilton with an ultra cool patio.
-
I should be making the trip down if I don't have the "biggest meeting ever" at work first thing monday morning.
A friend who I've met at some nero shows in NY state has invited me and all my pals over to her place for some BBQ and party time after the show. i told her she doesn't know what she's getting herself into, she said she had lots of floor space. But...it's a Sunday night...decisions decisions.
