  1. tasha i'm oozing with jealousy that you were there, but even more so with happiness that you and pete were a part of what was obviously a very magical moment in time. hearing the tapes from that day, with the crowd singing wilson louder than the band was playing was the first time i realized phish was really over. i so wish i could have been there. the next time i see you guys you're going to have to tell me every moment of it all!

  2. Oh i should have hopped on this last night. my friend kristy would have happily taken those tickets. she was the little blonde girl with the brown border collie named tango camped near you at ctmf willy. she and i were talking about it last night. sh!t, hope you have a good time tho man.

  3. Canadians are apathetic. it our greatest fault. we don't/won't/can't get worked up over much besides 2 canadian teams facing off for the stanley cup. I'm speaking in general here, but given ANY circumstance americans will be more boisterous, loud, energetic and engaged in the experience than canadians. I have a lot of thought on topics like this, and apathy is the only answer to why this happens that I've come across. Then I remember the other Canadian flaw of constantly comparing ourselves to Americans and thinking we're not as good when we're different. Maybe Canadians are a more cultured crowd who like to sit back and take every note and light flicker in at the show or event, and going wild and crazy would detract from that "full" experience they're looking for. who knows?? maybe it's the "i need to be polite and don't want to bother anyone else with my loud woo-ing and i don't want to obstruct anyone's view with my dancing, and i don't want to do anything bad ever so i should sit here placidly and enjoy the experience." type of canadian in us all

seeing newriders thing...yeah it's a toronto thing too. the crowd for the show, size and hype wise for theNEWDEAL show in toronto last week, after their 6 month hiadus was nothing compared to what it would have been if in the states according to some hardcores from boston and jersey i spoke with at the aftershow....and tND is from toronto....

  4. i get people calling me at work all the time thinking i do this type of trailer. if you're looking to buy used, try going to trader.ca, going to that will get you to their online version of the rv trader, the exact same thing as auto trader. you can also pick up a paper copy at most convenience stores.

  5. yeah man....i guess you're right, i did miss the point.

but what a sh!tty world we live in that you shouldn't have a certain level of expectation that a request for help would be met, especially in a place with such a sense of community as ctmf. who are you? you're a human being and you deserve help, no matter what situation you've put yourself in.

  6. ummm in response to number 2 and scotty....on friday night i was really drunk, and for a moment was overwhelmed by the combining toxins in my tummy. i got a little sick, and on my way to the bathroom comandeered april from her boyfriend bryson. all i said was "let me borrow her i don't feel good" and i had a bathroom buddy. maybe that's just cause i'm a girl. on the other hand, i've seen different people on different occaissions do far too much, and no one say anything. (i've been on both sides of that fence unfortunately) i think it depends more on whether or not you fall into the "hardcore" category. if people know you party really hard on a regular basis, unless they know you intimately when they see you taking your 11th pill they shrug and say "he/she knows what they're doing and where their limit is" it sucks that the most at risk group has the thinnest line to walk in that "friend looking out for friend" scenerio.

We can't really have it both ways. Should the sentence "in the last hour i've seen *insert partiers name here* do a line or 2, take mdma, drink a few beers and take a hit of acid" be greeted with admiration and respect, or concern? Or how about hearing about someone doing over 20 hits of e in a weekend? or an 8ball in a night? how should a person really respond to that? i suppose your reaction should be based on whether the speaker is boasting or freaked out....or should it be? (isn't that what we're asking here?)

And to scotty - if you have asked someone for help, I can't believe people would turn a blind eye specially at CTMF. I'm happy that you got the help you needed. Yey thorgnor!

  7. i think there are too many good moments to choose just 10. so I'd like to thank the people who put up with my "it's my birthday" for 24 hours straight. I'd also like to say thank you to the people who were so very thoughtful and got me a gift, i got wonderful things from the people I never expected to, and got nothing from the people whom i had the greatest expectations with. I had a great weekend, and couldn't think of a better bunch of people to ring in my 23rd with. I was up the entire 24 hours of my birthday (45 hrs straight technically) and best of all, I didn't black out for a minute of it. I can't list everyone I met, but I'm glad I met you all and had a great time doing it. Best long non May 24 weekend ever!

P.S. it was awesome to party with the chatham crew again. early on saturday morning I walked into Camp Giver and there was no one there. Nothing was moving at all. no fire, no one was there, and i thought "am i going to get ambushed by the creepy grey boys who've taken everyone else?" and then out of the corner of my eye, a flicker of movement over at camp chatham. just when i thought the party was over zeddy and kenny and mr. stu-dog reminded me it had only just begun.

  8. jay my cell's almost dead so i'll say it here. you need to get ahold of bear, she called me to say that shannon's going up a day early. bear's prob going to drive up with you on thursday if she can get a hold of you, so give her a call. drink a few for me tonight!

  9. If you've got to come on here because you're bored, then I suggest you go out and do something. if you think it's slow on this board, then may I suggest that EVERYONE else is out doing something. It's the summer time, the world is too nice to let it go by sitting behind some computer screen waiting for someone thousands of miles away to say something to piss you off, or entertain you or whatever.

  10. The registry should be for all hand guns currently owned, and for every gun purchased from herein out whether it be for recreational purposes (rifle) or for protection (hand gun). But the key problem is enforcement. What is the government going to do? Get a list of serial numbers from manufacturers and hunt down every person who bought a weapon that isn't registered? How would they track these people down with no original registry? I just can't believe that it took until 1995 for Canada to get a registry to begin with. That's sad.
