  1. Okay, I truly love the Coventry Pickle story--classic stuff!

And the photo--a moment captured brilliantly. Gotta love the action shot!

My only issue stems from the fact that I can't really tell if that's a pickle being hurled at the fellow atop the RV or of that's a projectile piece of poo being flung from his ass to the unsuspecting crowd below...

    Think about it.

  2. Connery: Could you repeat the question?

Trebek: Of Simon & Garfunkel, the one that is not Garfunkel.

    Connery: I Garfunkeled your mother.

    -------------------------------------

Alex Trebek: This is the sound a doggy makes. Mr. Connery.

    Sean Connery: Moo.

    Alex Trebek: No.

Sean Connery: Well, that's the sound your mother made last night!

Alex Trebek: Okay, that's not necessary. Burt Reynolds.

Burt Reynolds: Who is, ah, Scooby Doo?

    Alex Trebek: No.

Burt Reynolds: That was a funny dog, Scooby Doo. He drove around in a van and, ah, solved mysteries.

    Alex Trebek: That is incorrect.

Burt Reynolds: No, that's correct. He had a pal, Scrappy Doo.

Connery: I'll take Famous Titties for $400.

Trebek: That's Famous TITLES, Mr. Connery.

Connery: Not a fan of the ladies, are ya Trebek?

  3. Dear Kev (& Carla),

I really missed you guys all weekend. However, you were there (and a big part of) the best part of my weekend--partying down with you cats to the Camden show on the side of the road. Couldn't have asked for a better crew!

    Love,

    Julia

P.S. I have Carla's umbrella. She'll get it back this calendar year, unlike the Skyballs & Saxcrapers shirt.

  4. The only way that my company would consider doing this is if there was massive email campaign that would convince the higher-ups that this would be a huge success.

c-towns--not sure what other theatres there are in Calgary other than Famous Players. I'd contact the head office of any other company that's there to see if it's feasible. Small chains probably couldn't do it as they don't generally have the equipment for sattelite broadcasts.

  5. Now, see, if someone had responded to my queries about this on Tuesday, we coulda done something about it!

Actually, truth is, Phish offered us the opportunity to broadcast this in Canada. Unfortunately, the Sunday night conflicts with WWE Summerslam. And there's a contract in place. And the satellite can only broadcast one thing at a time (regardless of how much more successful this would likely be for us).

    So boo-urns. I tried.
