I'm looking to beef up my moe. collection and I'm wondering if anyone who's been seeing moe. for a long time would care to share their opinions on what they consider best shows so that I might track them down. I've only been seeing them for about 6 years or so and very sporadically in the first couple..so hit me with the goods
-
meh...good seeing them in buffalo, but I"ll proably check out JJ cale in t dot that night...too bad they're both playing on the same night as Scofield too!!
-
well it was nice to meet some of the kids from the board here (shain, Fairy) and be able to see all those bands for 26 bucks U.S. at the best venue that Buffalo has to offer. Xavier Rudd was EXCELLENT! all the good things I'd come to hear about him were absolutely true. Galactic was better than i've seen them previous times and especially with the abscence of Houseman!!! thank god! nero tore it down, with FULL props to the new tune "the year of..." great times. AS far as moe. goes i'd give the show a 7.5...some good highlights but nothing earthshattering. Good mexico, great Akimbo and the Bullet>moe./galactic jam> Kyles was probably the best part of the show. It was so nice to party with the gentle monkey and his ladyfriend, the punk and to finally meet Pablo's inspiration...gotta love this scene for bringing so many good people together. Let's do it again sometime...
cheers,
Brian

5 guys named moe. they rock. they RAWK!! 25 plus shows and I've yet to be dissapointed. I think for the most part the vocals are better than Phish, at least in consistency (although they shouldn't let AL sing the Harder they come, or Karma Police) The jams rage, the tunes are original and they're still not big enough yet that I can see them in a bar...that's the shit right there!!
-
oh yeah baby...35 dollars was a super sweet price to see the boys that weekend...it's actually the 2nd time I've lucked out at the festivals...paid 20 bones from some kid for a bracelet at oswego too! but sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry...although they usually have tix available at the door at these things, so it's almost better to go with no ticket and check out the situation forst and then purchase accordingly...
-
can't buddy, got my tix to moe. the next weekend...but we'll style ya next time you're in town
-
I'll ride ya till ya shak'er...that'll give you the fear!!
are you going to the cottage this weekend?
I'm going to be in vegas on friday night 'til monday...I think Darkly is having some sort of party...
-

-

-
JEEESUS! i can't remember a better looking line-up, except for maybe '92...maaan, too bad it's on a frickin thurday/ friday
-
where does it say that the concert they're releasing is IT? COuld be any one of the 2 day shows from the recent years. To be honest, I hope it's not IT...there were much better 2 day shows in my opinion...
