PhishyK
hey hey y'all, what is up? I have officially arrived in Toronto and am currently chilling out in my new Cabbagetown brownstone super-expensive apartment-thingy. This is one hell of a country and I recommend everyone drive from Vancouver to Toronto at some point in their lives. Wow, the prairies are beautiful. So I guess I have two questions: 1.) Where do I go to see great shows, buy a bass amp, and/or get a job at a music store? 2.) WHO WANTS TO JAM!? Kev

CyberHippie
Hey Phishy, The Comfort Zone (college and spadina) is where most things go on. Other great places for music are Chicago's (queen street and John) and The Orbit Room (college and Euclid). The music store that I hear is the best is, Long & McQuade (925 Bloor W)
bradm
Other good stores: Steve's Music at Queen St. W. & SpadinaSongbird Music at Queen St. W. a bit West of BathurstThe 12th Fret at 2132 DanforthSteve's is an all-around has-everything store. SongBird stocks mostly used/consignment gear, and the people are very good. The 12th Fret is more of a "boutique" store, kinda small, but they know their stuff. Jaimoe
Hey Phishy K. Welcome to Cabbagetown. The former home of punch-drunk Shawn O'Sullivan. I'd love to jam. I'm off next Monday and Tuesday. Maybe an acoustic thing would do. If not, we could check out some bands Monday or Tuesday night.
