Mr. Musicface Posted March 27, 2003 Author Report Share Posted March 27, 2003 Personally I have always favoured the term harmonica myself, at least for "formal" purposes. Harp is cool but confusing to some, I definitely use it in causal conversation but when I meet someone for the first time I'd generally say I play harmonica rather than harp, fearing they'd picture me with a big stringed thing between my legs.
