\/\/illy
I'm awfully tempted although a little tired from the run to Detroit and back. However, tomorrow is a new day: Perhaps my energy will be renewed by then...
Jaimoe
My friend is going to Monday's show in T.O. He tried to convince me to go, but I'm not a fan. He puts on a good show no doubt. I respect Gabriel and his music, but I don't like anything he's ever done. Enjoy the show. I'm sure you all will.
Mr. Musicface
Oh, I'm gonna be there for sure! I've been waiting 8 years for this, the So and Us tours were both up there on my all-time list. Plus Blind Boys of Alabama are openning. And as bonus it's my wife's birthday, so a sweeet night all 'round! If you have any doubts, go see this show and you'll be a believer. Gabriel always puts on one of the best shows you can imagine. Peace, Mr. M.
Jaimoe
Hey Musicface, I'd rather see an Uncle Seth/Blind Boys Of Alabama double bill. Gabriel ain't for me. Same thing for old and ( especially ) new Genesis.
peipunk
Just go back from this show. Wow. I'm a huge fan, and this didn't disappoint. Nice blend of old and new. I understand how you might not like the music as much, Jaimoe, but the production of this concert was astounding. I was slightly let down that Manu Katche wasn't playing drums, but there were no slouches on the stage. Powerful, intricate music and stage presentation. Expensive trip for me, but well worth it and long awaited. Also the most expensive merchandise I have EVER seen($45 for the CHEAPEST t-shirt- $55 for a baseball hat). And still I bought a shirt. Drat. I'll regret it on the way to Kingston tomorrow.
Jaimoe
Hey PEI Punk, at least you got to see and hear Tony Levin on bass. I heard the the Blind Boys kicked ass too.

Mr. Musicface
quote:I wish I had known Tony Levin was playing with him before the show!!!I think Levin has been on every Gabriel tour along with David Rhodes. I did miss Manu Katché and but Ged Lynch did a good job. Gabriel always has amazing players with him. - M.
