bONES Posted August 9, 2004 Report Share Posted August 9, 2004 so speaking with Yo and JRoc on the weekend I learned of the the Rainbow Gathering happenin' now in Quebec Turtle Island One World Rainbow Gathering (In Quebec, july 31st - august 30th 2004) We who are brothers and sisters, children of God,Family of Life on Earth, friends of Nature and of all people, children of humankind, calling ourselves Rainbow Family tribe, humbly invite: all races, peoples, tribes, communes, men, women, children, individuals... out of Love; all nations and national leaders, out of Respect; all religions and religious leaders, out of Faith; to join with us in gathering together for the purpose of expressing our sincere desire that there shall be Peace on Earth, Harmony among all people, and to hold open worship, prayers, chanting, or wathever is the want or desire of the people. But upon the morning of the new moon, on the 15th of august 2004, we will unite in a meditative comtemplative silence wherein we, the invited people of the world may consider and give honour and respect to anyone or anything that has aided in the positive evolution of humankind and Nature, upon this, our most beloved and beautiful Mother Earth. Asking blessing upon we, people of this world in hope that we people can effectively proceed to evolve, expand and live in Harmony and Peace. The Rainbow Gathering is an opportunity to celebrate human diversity, to venerate the earth, to deepen connections, and to party, to share a community that is beyond the rules of violence, prejudice and caste. The people who gather are a tribe, not of blood, butof spirit, for all are born into it.We are bound together by our desire to live in Peace, to be in the cathedral of Nature and to heal ourselves through union with the Earthly Mother and the Heavenly Father. guigsy Posted August 9, 2004 Report Share Posted August 9, 2004 once upon a time on a beach in florida a beautiful young girl approached me to sell me some beads. unfortunately, all i had on me was my swimming shorts, and no cash. it would have gotten wet. but we spent about 45 minutes together just shootin' the breeze, and it was the first time i had ever heard of a Rainbow Gathering, as she told me she was just making her rounds on the way to one in Alabama. It was also the first time i had ever interacted with a person like her. and maybe the first time i truly saw beauty. im not sure about that one, but at the moment, i cant think of anything earlier than that. i've been searching for Her ever since... At nineteen, she has an air of worldly knowlege about her that seems tinged with bitterness as if she might have had a rough time growing up...
