phishin4groove
its in G,B and Em anyone know what mode id play that solo in???
bouche
mode shmode screw-la-mode I think you can just use that pentatonic thingy...starting on E and when you hit the B chord, be ready to use a couple of notes outside of that, like the F# for instance. You also need to use them 'in-between' notes to bridge some of the pentatonic intervals, like the A-Bb-B-D quick-jab, just about half-way. E Pentatonic Minor Happy fretting and licking. Guest
I actually play this song quite often during my acoustic show's monday with jeff...and E minor pen. works...e minor of course is the reletive minor to G...so G major also works....it's really got that bluegrass vibe to it...so as bouche said..the passing notes that lie around the scale you are using are quite handing and neccessary. as for modes...mixolydian....but try not to think that way with this one if you can avoid it. It's a fun song to solo over because it is in G/Em there are alot of open notes when you are playing in the first to third posistions. Have fun man.
