CyberHippie Posted October 12, 2004 Report Share Posted October 12, 2004 Came home from the weekend and my machine had shut down. Tried to turn it on, fired up for a second, and shut down. Same thing over and over. Unplugged my C: drive, and it started up to cmos. Plugged it back in, same thing tried to start up and shut down. Panic sets in! Why didn't I back up all those times I thought about it? Punched the hard drive a few times and.... Got it to boot! Promptly backed up all my files.
