StoneMtn, perhaps we can go to The First after all. You won't believe what you've been missing all these years. Ha ha ha! As far as I know, there are no "Texas Hold 'em rooms". I try to avoid that place if at all possible. Haven't even seen a show there (even though I'm in Orillia). I think Steppenwolf is playing there sometime soon too. doug Posted March 2, 2005 Report Share Posted March 2, 2005 Casino Rama can be a good venue. I have seen a number of shows there. It is a rather small (approx 5000) hall with a decent stage and most seats have a good view. They usually have a small area up front where folks can get up and dance or whatever but unless you get into that area they seem to be pretty strict on keeping people out of the aisles and in their seats. The other draw back I have noticed is that probably because of the large number of comp tix the casino hands out, you can sometimes get into a crowd where the folks are only there for a free show and not into the artist or the tunes at all which can be a bit of a downer at times. Didnt know Winwood was coming but that should be good. Steppenwolf is indeed booked for this summer! I believe Grand Funk Railroad is as well. Also this month they have War for two shows.
