Sat. August 6th: "Ottawa Remembers Jerry"

Hey Ottawa folks... come out to the Carleton Tavern, 223 Armstrong, the evening of Saturday August 6th for "One More Saturday Night".

This will be a special night of music to remember Jerry Garcia, who passed away 10 years ago (how time flies, eh?)

Headlining the show will be, of course, Ottawa's incredible Grateful Dead tribute band The Music Never Stopped.

Also on the bill, (insert shameless self-promotion here) my band "No Buds For Bob".

Rounding out the evening will be "Mandrake Root", who play some great Gov't Mule and Deep Purple covers, and "Bill Voisey and Friends".

Aaaaaaah....

I still remember the first time The Music Never Stopped played in honour of the late Jerry Garcia at the Laff ten years ago. (Of course they were called "Jerry's Kids" back then.) We were all partying through our tears, but it was still quite a blast; with people dancing on the tables, and basically declaring one night of anarchy at the bar.

I can't believe it's been a decade!
