Deeps Posted July 14, 2005 Report Share Posted July 14, 2005 (edited) hey guys... the craziest thing happened to me last night... do you know michael franti & spearhead or the string cheese incident? they were playing bluesfest last night, but thunder & lightning struck, so SC only got about 3 songs in (after Xavier rudd had a kick ass show), & they had to leave the stage... then after waiting a while, the concert was cancelled. me and some buddies got the inside scoop that they were moving to a club to play... about 2 hours later, after an adventure of rain and too much fun and coincidences, we were inside right infront of this stage at this small club... the2 bands came out & jammed till 2:30, and get this... I GOT TO GO UP ON STAGE AND SING WITH THEM!! HOLY SHIT!! franti was grooving up on stage and looked down and just asked 'who can sing', and i got way too excited and he invited me up on stage... so cool... i've never had such a fucking cool experience... there were hundreds of people there, everyone dancing so hard the floor was moving... i'd raise my arms, and everyone would go ballistic... i got to sing and free style. dudes, i can not tell you amazing that was... i went home after and was just too excited about it, so i biked back in the pouring rain and found franti backstage and had a cool talk with him. what a night.... gotta love music... tiiu! \*********************************************\ Tiiu's full name is Tiiu Millistver she is an amazing singer song writer with a great spirit and love of the blues, and all things honest and organic. I had the pleasure of playing with her for about 2 years in a 3 piece band adn later joined her on her album. If you like the folk and love a great voice and great lyrics please check her out.
