Drug tunnel busted

It's not so much that I am interested that the U.S. authorities have busted the people running it, it's that they knew about it right from the start:

"U.S. government agencies, including the FBI and drug enforcement officials, had been monitoring its construction for eight months, allowing its completion so that authorities could monitor the activities of those constructing it.

Investigators had even placed cameras and microphones inside the tunnel."

read about this on the bus today, fuckin hilarious, said they busted the guys in BC with 90 lbs of dope they were running down to seattle. the article i read said they were worried about bringing ppl from canada down to be illegals in the usa, who the hell would want to move from bc to the us and live as an illegal? said the guys were running the bud to the us, and coke and guns up into bc

They say there have been 32 cross border tunnels found (from Mexico to US) but this is the first into Canada- how many others must there be crossing the 49th parallel?
