tweezer2001
just an update:Friday Oct.28 - Victoria BC - Steamerswith Stephen Franke & NFTT Saturday Oct.29 - Vancouver BC - Halloween Party @ The Media Club* with Stephen Franke & NFTT Tuesday Nov.1 - Banff AB - The Rose and CrownWednesday Nov.2 - Banff AB- The Rose and CrownThursday Nov.3 - Edmonton AB - Sidetrack CafeFriday Nov.4 - Calgary AB - Brew BrothersSaturday Nov.5- Canmore AB - Canmore HotelSunday Nov. 6- Kananaskis AB - Woody'sThursday Nov 10 - Toronto, Ont -The Rivoli Friday Nov 11- Guelph Ont - VinylSaturday Nov 12 Ottawa Ont - MavericksYou will be able to purchase "Rubarbicon" at all the shows.Rubarbicon DVDGrand Theft Bus were a rock band that had everything going for them. Despite their “rock-star†bad attitudes, their fans adored them, they’d toured several countries all over the world, and their record sales had always been incredible, the only thing they didn’t have was a DVD documentary…until now!Enter independent filmmaker; Greg Hemmings. As an “acquaintance†of the band, he is given the responsibility to produce a film documenting the making of their 5th album; “Rubarbiconâ€. Inspired by music mocumentaries such as Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, and Hardcore Logo, witha scent of Trailer Park Boys, Rubarbicon takes the mocumentary to a whole new level using what Hemmings calls “improvisational non-actingâ€. The story of Rubarbicon was in no way scripted. Various “non actors†were approached by the film’s production team, interviewed, and relying on this creative input a story line was developed.Hemmings begins the filming process, capturing studio footage along with several live shows from points around the globe. Suddenly, the entire project comes to a screeching halt when the band sneaks away from the recording studio with the album masters and are tragically “burned†to death in a fire at their rehearsal space that very same night.Follow Hemmings as he travels the globe in search of the band fans hate to love, Grand Theft Bus, and the “suspicious†circumstances surrounding their disappearance.Movie clips here:http://farmhouseproductions.ca/http://www.hitmedia.ca/
