Del
We just got a router so we could split our cable internet into three rooms... Can we somehow network our three computers so we can share files, play games, etc? I have a Mac and the other two computers are PCs... Any help would be appreciated... Del
To clarify, it's a two-part question:Can we network all three computers? If so, how do we do it?
Phunk_Nugget
you'll need a hub....maybe you can get some help from the price basher....cable>hubhub>computers(ethernet)
Basher
You don't need a hub - the router should be fine. I do not know how to do this though.Oh, and thanks for the plug PN!

bouche
I managed to get the iMac with OSX 10.4.4 sharing files with my PC. You need to go into the system preferences and find the Sharing settings. There is a checkbox to enable windows sharing. THen you should be able to see your windows shares and windows should see your mac.All of your pc's need to be configured to be in the same workgroup. Give them all the same workgroup name like 'manglernet' or whatever and I that could be it, if you're all using windows XP. You may need to setup folders to share, but by default you have a shared folder in windows xp.maybe this will help
