Patchoulia
I broke my baby toe.It seemed to be healing nicely--the ghastly shade of blackish-purple was fading, I could walk with nary a limp...But now it seems to be swelling up again--without any further injury--and the sweet, sweet throbbing has returned.Anyone else ever experience such a travesty? StoneMtn
Well, according to my fiancee "Lassie" who is a physiotherapist... It sounds like you were nearly healed, and then "overdid it" a little bit by trying to walk normally on an injured toe. That caused irritation and inflammation/swelling. Unless you banged it hard against something, again, you did not likely re-break it.

Please thank her for her expertise--she's probably right--I walked the dog yesterday and it was aching at the end, so that's likely what happened. StoneMtn
Unlike me, she's usually right when she offers her opinion. I will certainly thank her for you when I speak to her later. Take care of that toe!
Patchoulia
Come to think of it, I actually ran the dog once yesterday (not by choice). I walked her a couple of times and the second time, I forgot her "halty" that stops her from pulling the leash--hence, the running! Tip: Don't run on a broken toe, no matter how much fun it is to frolic with a puppy in the rain.
StoneMtn
Sure you were dog-walking...[color:purple]I suspect you were up to your usual tricks; dancing on tables for crowds of leering onlookers.
TomFoolery
I hope you're not talking about that dog in your avatar. If that thing can pull you along, you must be 6 yrs old or something!?!
Patchoulia
#1 TomFoolery: The dog in my avatar was a result of a Google Image search for "Stone Phillips"--apparently, this puppy is a news anchor. The dog I was walking is actually much larger and very boisterous.#2. StoneMtn: Leering, PAYING onlookers.
TomFoolery
Whew Stn Mtn had me worried we were going to have to call in the cops on all those paying on-lookers ;-)
Lazlo
Maybe the toe's just trying to escape.
