Large Marge
My friend's band The New Kings kick off their Western tour at Sneeky Dee's tomorrow night. MJ used to play horns with Big Rude Jake and now fronts this super-high energy, politically charged activist two-tone madness... come see it for yourself!"...with a Clash-like melding of roots, punk and reggae, the New Kings' Take Back the Streets makes scathing indictments against everything from corporations to bad "police-state propaganda" TV shows. SteveThe Owl
Sneaky Dee's rocks. I was there this past weekend for the Cut 'n' Paste Zine Fair. Cool venue, even though they don't carry Molson Stock Ale (I think the Horseshoe does, though)Let me know when the New Kings come through Ottawa. I've never heard of them before, but they look and sound quite nifty.

Jaimoe
I like their sound. I hear Captain Beefheart, Nick Cave, jazz and some heavy blues in their sound... which is all good in my books.I think your "punk" heading sells them short to some extent. Large Marge
I think your "punk" heading sells them short to some extent. Definitely. That's why I added further content. On a jam band board though, I think Punk is the easiest headline for The New Kings... it's a pretty broad category and then fine folks like you can help narrow it down.So is anyone coming out tonight, or what? Let's Fucking Giver!!!Cheers!
