Blane
124 students, 2 lesson plans per submission, tight deadline = beer+grading to stave off sheer insanity. Good god when will this end?

Dr_Evil_Mouse
Oh god, I hear you. All I can say is, stick to the beer, it makes less of a stain if you spill it on the students' papers than red wine. Can they at least spell reasonably well, or form complete sentences (the ones that don't plagiarise, that is)?
Blane
It's a fourth year course so at least they're literate. Worst of it is that they're submitted electronically (web resource teaching plans) and so everything from the reading to the checking sources to the grading is done in front of a screen. I'm going buggy.all that said, there are some pretty neat ideas on here. I'm grading a student who's going to have his 12th grade students write a blog as an English project. I wish we got to do shit like that in high school Edited February 22, 2006 by Guest

Birdy
Yeah I enjoy reading my mom’s students essays too. Have a chuckle and slowly pass it back across the table... Trust me it’s not the same when they are yours and you have almost 200 hundred of them. <<>>yah so says she. she's in the middle of marking them as we speak. i talked to her earlier and she sounds like she's on the verge of losing it.
