DevO Posted June 29, 2003 Report Share Posted June 29, 2003 Roy Hargrove is one of the biggest contemporary hard bop jazz trumpeters... He's collaborated with Sonny Rollins a few times. I think he's in another band called Los Hombres Caliente as well. That's about all I know. DEFINITELY worth checking out, especially when its free, what've you got to lose! He's guested on Common, Erykah Badu's stuff, want to say D'Angelo maybe. I'm pretty sure all of them do a turn on this album as a favour for his playing on theirs- imagining tonight's show will have an R&B flava as a result.
