It's one of the many 'transparent' but hugely effective changes that'll continue to take place. I may have lost some galleries while setting it up. I'll have to reup them. Seriously, I was just looking at this feature for the first time, it is very cool! One of the neatest things is when one pic fades into another that was taken from the same angle (on the tripod I assume) and at certain points it almost gives the illusion of movement.
