DevO Posted July 13, 2003 Report Share Posted July 13, 2003 Is the web address http://www.jambands.ca/ not working for anyone else? It hasn't worked for me since the switch to the new board. Since then I've been using the address http://jambands.mysite4now.com/ .. I just called Cogeco tech support about it and he said that it sometimes takes weeks for a site to be re-routed when its DNS stuff has been changed around. But I haven't heard anyone else mention this, which makes me think its only happening to me, which makes me wonder why. Anyone have any ideas? There's an outside chance that Cogeco is pointing to an old domain server entry somewhere, but usually it would have been propagated to the whole world by now. Write to bouche and see if he has any suggestions - he helped me fix things up when the old system wasn't working on my machine at work for some weird DNS-y reason. Peace, Mr. M. Booche Posted July 13, 2003 Report Share Posted July 13, 2003 If you are using IE, try Start Settings Control Panel Internet Options On that window, about halfway down, you should see Delete Files and Delete Cookies under Temporary Internet files. Delete those and see if it helps............... That would begin the step one process. Although, if you cant see this post for weeks, I doubt I am of any help. DevO Posted July 13, 2003 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2003 Thanks for the tip Booche.. Tried it, but it didn't do the trick. I have no problem getting to the Sanctuary, or to the rest of the site for that matter, as long as I use the alternate address which I mentioned above.
