He comes across as a bit of a rock star.Actually, I would assume that it's because CTMF would be unable to pay him the amount of money that he would charge to perform. Fred Eaglesmith has a very large cult following in Europe and America, and probably charges a decent bit of coin to perform. He may have a bit of an ego, but I can see why someone in his position wouldn't be inclined to play at a festival in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of small, mostly unheard-of acts, especially considering that the crowd is never more than a few hundred people.
